When the installation is complete, it works fine. It was a difficult piece to visualize due to all of the slanted pieces and screw holes. I watched a couple of YouTube videos which helped. One small problem is that the tv just hangs on a bar so it could easily slide off. Perhaps some screws to keep it from sliding off? It says easy to install. Not necessarily. To begin with there are many parts, and with the exception of screws and nuts, the parts aren’t labeled. Secondly, the drawings are too compact and the type is very light so it was difficult to see exactly where screws and nuts went. Finally, the directions provide for several ways to attach the tv to the mounting bars. Problem is they mixed up the flat and the bowed back TV directions. You use the black spacers for the bowed back and just the screws, nuts, and washers on the straight back. To give them credit, there were extras of all of the hardware I.e - screws etc. also everything went together with out any misaligned pieces. What a relief. I put this together without help. It would be easier with 2 people but I got around that by using packing tape to temporarily cinching the legs together as I attached the braces. I also at one point glued washers on before attempting to screw pieces together. It will make sense when you start the install. Good luck. You will be pleased when it’s done. Oh, and the directions don’t tell you that you have to pry off the face of the cable routers. But again for the finished products I really like it. ... show more

I have a small house. I did a ridiculous thing and bought a large tv - 65". When you get older your eyesight and hearing goes (in my defense). I could have mounted the tv on the wall but I like to rearrange my furniture too often for that to be a valid option. I knew I needed a movable stand. It had to be sturdy though because I have lots of small grandchildren who like to run and be silly. It also had to be stylish because, well, that's just what I like.     • Nearly Perfect Modern Entertainment Stand

I went from a massive industrial wire rack with several jukeboxes and AV units to this sleek and modern entertainment unit. It is nearly perfect and for most people will be perfect. All it lacks is a way to install a sound bar (hint for future option). The assembly was intuitive and simple right up to wire management. On my unit there were preinstalled cable covers and removing them without instruction was sketchy. I finally found a video online (thank you BeatTheBush DIY) that showed using the multi-wrench that came with the unit to pry off the cover. Turns out you need something short with leverage instead of long like a screwdriver shaft. Note there are TWO Velcro strips that come in the parts pack (they look like one). These are needed as a final anchor for the cables behind the TV. The stand is lightweight. It will NOT tip over easily, but for households with energetic children or pets, if they get up high and pull it will come over on them. I used the wheels to add a bit more height and it rolls easily on hardwood (until you lock the wheels-duh). Rolling on carpet will depend on the shag. I'm sure the flat feet will be fine for people not worried about getting behind the unit regularly. The top shelf holds small electronics, TiVo® Premiere DVR (barely) and a stacked modern disk player (easily). The bottom shelf is 10"+ tall and 24" wide so can handle most AV units with a bit of hang off the back, but that is FLOOR level so line of sight is awful. Glad I won't be needing that any more. Took a while to assemble, Attaching the rails to the tv and actually putting the tv on the stand was the hardest part. So far so good. Looks good. Does what it's supposed to. For the price, I'm very happy.

This is a sturdy TV stand. It's adjustable and very good for a corner of a room. It's nice because it's very non-obtrusive. It's almost like you have a "floating" TV. My only criticism is the shelves are made of a very "plastic looking" laminate. Picture a table in McDonald's!
