  • Worth it
Style: Lat Pull Down
It took a while but I finally found the lat pull down for my half rack. The best part is that this will fit the full rack version as well. The instructions are a bit confusion and I was not sure how stable it be but once together it holds and functions great. The only issue I see is the leg holder for lat pull downs. I believe it could be more secure but with the right tweaks I can get it done. ... show more

  • better than expected
Style: Squat Rack & Weight Bench Combo
after reading some of the previous reviews, i wasn't sure what to expect... I bought the bench/rack combo. This product is fantastic for the money. I am impressed. I would buy other products from Fitness Reality. The product was packaged flawlessly, everything was protected well. 2 boxes arrived one containing the bench and the one containing the rack. The rack box is big and very heavy so you may need someone help you to move it to the desired location. I put both together myself and do not consider myself very handy but do my best to follow instructions. Putting together the bench was simple. For the rack, I used the two wrenches that came with the rack. Also, I put it together alone. The rack was mostly simple to put together; I put it together in two stages and in two consecutive nights after work. Pros: The products feel substantial, sturdy, and high quality. I would buy them again. Some reviewers write that the spotter arms are angled as a problem. I read about the spotter arms on the Fitness Reality website before I purchased. The spotter arms are supposed to be slightly angled back to upright support bars. If one gets into the situation of needing the spotter arms the angle helps the bar roll back to the upright support to maintain stability so the rack wouldn't fall forward. The angle of the supports is quite minimal. After reading about them, I am glad they are designed the way they are and find them to be very protective. They are longer than expected and provide more protection than expected. The only way to have better protection would be to have a full power rack; this squat rack is a nice alternative and not as invasive-feeling in my smallish room. Cons: The bench gap between the seat part and the back part is very wide. I have noticed that I am mostly using the bench in the flat position. Perhaps, I would have been better off by buying a flat bench instead of this adjustable one? Slightly more padding on the bench may be helpful, but could take away from the amount of weight that the bench could support. The squat rack pull-up bar is fairly thick in diameter and doesn't have much grip. Grip can be remedied by providing tape over it, I guess? There are holes pre-drilled in the pull-up bar so I would assume that one could buy an accessory pull-up attachment? For full safety, one is better purchasing a power rack. Doing a squat, i almost lost my balance backwards. That's on me and not the "squat rack's" fault though. Conclusion: The squat rack is fantastic. The bench is good. Both feel like high quality. I wish the bench gap was smaller but it is an adjustable bench. The price point feels like I received an amazing deal on amazing products. I would purchase again without hesitation. ... show more

  • MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS SQUAT RACK
Style: Squat Rack & Weight Bench Combo
For those of you that lift heavy and are getting mixed signals on this squat rack, I got the rack along with the bench and it definitely does the job. For those of you that are just starting, this rack is a treat for you. Assembly: Took me only 1-2 hours to assemble. KEEP IN MIND, if you think the holes do not align, try assembling both sides of the rack without tightening the bolts too much. Tighten in the end of the assembly phase for each part. The bench only took me less than 30 minutes to assemble. Stability: The rack easily withstands holding 315 lbs for squat. For benching, the bench easily supports the 225 lbs I’m pressing along with my weight (I’m 6 ft and 220 lbs). Now obviously the rack shakes a little but not so much that it affects my performance personally. Just make sure to leave some weight on the plate holders behind the rack for more stability. The pull-up bar obviously moves with my body weight, but it should help get your workout done. Dimension: If you haven’t looked at the dimension measurements shown in the item details, the size is great for a compact area. I was worried that it would look too small, but for an at home gym it’s perfect. Accessories: What’s great about this rack is that it comes with: - J-hooks - Land mine - Safety catches The j-hooks aren’t bending with the amount of weight I’m loading onto it, but the paint does come off because of the barbell clashing against them. The land mine accessory is a great attachment the rack comes with and is pretty stable. Safety catches ARE SLANTED. I don’t know why people assume they’re straight and say the picture shows that it’s straight. Other than the catches being slanted, it easily holds 225 lbs. Comparing other racks: I haven’t gotten the chance to use other racks sold on amazon, but my personal opinion is that beginners should start off with this rack of budget is the issue. Once you realize you’re going to be using your at home gym, you can invest in better racks from bigger brands such as REP or Rogue. I’ve done research on other racks sold on amazon such as the Hulk full power rack and the Fitness Reality full power rack, which comments state that the racks bend or move too much for what they are made for. I’ve come across a comment for this squat rack by Fitness Reality that the person easily loaded and unloaded a good amount of weight with no problem, which made me want to leave a review to help encourage new and late weightlifters in saving money by getting this rack (for all the people including myself buying workout equipment because the gyms are closed.) Conclusion: If you’re a heavy lifter, this rack does the job for the right price. If you’re a beginner, this rack is definitely well worth the money for starting off your weightlifting journey. I’m a skeptical guy when it comes to investing in things such as workout equipment, but I have to say that this was worth it. ... show more
