  • Great elliptical, inaccurate electronics
This elliptical is great, especially since it's the only one with a long stride length in this price range. I'm 5'11'', and this stride length is ok for me -- though I still wish it was longer. My whole family has been using it daily for about a month now, and we're very happy with it. It's very quiet, and feels sturdy. No, it's not like an expensive elliptical you'd find at a professional gym, but it's entirely good enough for a home gym. Every once in a while there might be an odd click or thump on each cycle that lasts for a few moments, but overall there's not really any issues. There is only one problem, which for me is fairly minor, but is definitely a problem. The electronics just don't work well, and by that I mean the calibration is totally off. I exercise a lot, and I know what my "8 mile pace" or "10 mile pace" is on an elliptical, and this thing is way off. I have it set to miles, but I swear it's displaying kilometers. There is just no way I'm going 6 or 7 miles in 30 minutes. The distances are off by that much! The calorie count is entirely fictitious, and the heart rate monitor says my pulse is anywhere randomly from 30 to 120 bpm when I know full well it's a steady 160 bpm. At least the timer is accurate. Also, as other reviewers mention, your knee will hit the cup holder. Just don't bother installing it, it's in the totally wrong place. If all you care about is getting a good exercise, with good resistance, a good stride length, and you don't mind keeping track of your own pulse, and you don't care how "far you've gone", then this is fine. Just don't expect accurate electronics. 4 stars, because it's the longest stride length anywhere near this price range, and that's what I really needed. ... show more

  • A Very Good Elliptical with Lots of Resistance and Exercise Programs to Choose From
I have been using this product since October of last year and I really like it. When I first received the product, I unboxed everything and was happy to see very clear instructions and hardware that was individually bagged and labeled. I'm not the most handy person, however I was able to put the machine together by myself in about one hour. I placed the elliptical on top of a treadmill mat just to make sure I wouldn't damage the floor. I would consider the machine to be full sized, but it was not so big that I had to search to find a good spot for it - it fits perfectly behind the desk in my office. Using the machine is easy and there are several programs to choose from. I was worried about not having enough resistance, but that was not the case. On the highest resistance setting, I struggle to get things moving, which is a good thing. I feel like I get a really good workout in as little as 20 minutes, depending on the program I'm using. I love that there is a mileage and calories burned display, and the pulse measurer seems to give an accurate readout. The stride isn't as long as the professional machines at my local gym, but it is still a comfortable length for both me (5'6) and my husband (5'10). As much as I enjoy this machine, there are a few minor issues. First, I ended up removing the water bottle holder. I hit the holder with my knee several times and decided it would be best to take it off and not risk breaking the holder or hurting my knee. Since installing, I've had to tighten the bolts several times due to minor shakiness and squeaking. This doesn't happen all the time but every month or two, the machine will start squeaking and there will be a tiny bit of wobble, at which point I go and retighten every screw and bolt. Then I'm good again for a long time. On two instances, a few minutes into a workout, the machine made a several second beep, resistance stopped, and power shut off. When this happened, I detached the power plug from the machine and the wall outlet, waited a few minutes, then plugged it back in, which fixed the problem. Overall, I like this elliptical and would recommend it to others. It isn't without its (minor) issues, but I am happy with this purchase. If you're on the fence, I'd say go for it. ... show more

  • Read ALL of the Review - This Thing Is Worth It
Product Support: A+ My first one arrived damaged. It was absolutely zero hassle getting a replacement. They sent me the newer model because the one I had ordered was discontinued. Ease of Assembly: A- Not difficult but I recommend using real tools (ratchet and sockets, a philips screwdriver and allen keys) instead of what they send. Be careful connecting the wiring; they only fit ONE WAY. Don’t force them. Instructions are clear although the pics are a little cluttered. Quality of materials: B+ The plastic is very thick and solid, metal is not warped or weak. The control panel feels very light. Not flimsy but care should be taken not to overtighten the mounting screws. Noise Level: A+ We have had many elliptical sand treadmills. The expensive ones. This thing barely makes a sound. I work out around 4am and my wife cannot hear the machine at all. Zero. There is a caveat to that: it has to be assembled CORRECTLY and SECURELY. Everything fits a certain way. Make sure to follow the instructions. I cannot believe how quiet this thing is. Use-ability: A+ Programs galore, more than a dozen and all different difficulties. The higher the number of bars you see, the stronger the resistance. Each stage is 1 minute long. The resistance changes automatically. Pulse rate is read by holding the stationary handles. Time, calories, distance and speed are displayed. Very smooth operation. You can adjust the foot pad locations so that helps longer and short legs. Durability: TBD - Have not had this long enough. Bottom Line: This is a solid A+. For the price you aren’t going to get more function or quality. I find it hard to believe you could. Every machine is different so make sure you’re following the directions and reach out to them if you have an issue. I received my replacement within a week of contacting support. So far; I love this thing. I am 6’1 225 pounds for those who are wondering how it works for someone their size. ... show more
