Let me tell you why you should buy a Fitbit if you are comparing it with a Halo. When I was shopping for Fitbit, Amazon advertised their Halo to me for only $20. I love a deal (who doesn’t?) that I took the offer. I was so hopeful but was incredibly disappointed with their product. It was bulky, had less than half of the useful features a Fitbit boasts and the app was useless. Plus, the thing had a tiny battery life. Had to charge it so much. Even though I have an iPhone the halo didn’t work with any of the calorie counters I could find, nor did it synthesize with any apple specific apps. (The Halo specifically warns that it is designed to be used with apple products. Gross.) This is the third Fitbit I have worn out in the last twelve years. Each one is better than the one before it. This one is so light weight and slim. I cannot tell I am wearing it. I sleep in it, shower in it, and only take it off to charge it. The app is great, it lets me track calories and automatically changes calorie goals based on activity level. The heart health stuff is so cool. I didn’t know they could detect a-fib until I got this one. I bought my husband one because he has heart problems. This is the best health and fitness tracker I’ve used. I really like the time options, all nice and large, a good feature since the Fitbit is so small. It is lighter weight my old Charge2 and has a few more features. Although, I do miss the climbing levels feature.

I was wanting to upgrade my Fitbit Inspire 2 to the new Luxe. My main issue with the Inspire 2 was how high the watch face part of it was and it was constantly tight in the wrist area when I would wear sweaters/sweatshirts. I am happy that I upgraded and this Luxe watch face sits a little lower and my issue with it being tight with certain sweaters/sweatshirts is now gone. The design of it is great, it has a sleek look to it. I also do use it while I am doing water aerobics. One thing I have noticed is normally when you flick your wrist to check the time on the watch face it should come up automatically (my old inspire 2 was great at this), but I have noticed this one is more finicky. It doesn't always work that way. Not sure if there is another setting to change the sensitivity on the watch face or not. Scrolling on the watch face itself is easy to do. When I do water aerobics, I have to put the water lock mode on. You scroll up to find this option and double tap to lock it. It doesn't always work right away. I have never had an issue with working out with my fitbit in the swimming pool. Normally after class, I will wash off the fitbit with soap and water to rid it of the chlorine. I did decide to put a screen protector on it (SuperShieldz brand for the fitbit luxe). So far this has stood up with me using my fitbit twice a week in the pool. Overall, I am happy with my new fitbit. I am hoping to find a way to change the sensitivity settings for being able to check the time on my fitbit. ... show more

Super comfortable and accurate step counter, watch, sleep tracker etc. I don’t use it for notifications for calls and texts but you can do that too. I love using it for fitness and as an everyday watch. Water resistant but not waterproof

UPDATE: I want to live this, but I am so frustrated! The Bluetooth is not reliable. It has stopped alerting me to notifications from my iPhone. I can see them if I swipe but I don’t feel a vibration alert for texts or calls. I still love the size but the whole reason I wear it all day is to be alerted to calls and texts. Wish I could return it but it’s been too long. My Alta HR died and I didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on a fancy smart watch. After looking in the stores and not being able to try any Fitbits on, I was hesitant to purchase a new one. The Alta HR was comfortable, though almost too big for my small wrist (see second photo). I was worried the Luxe would be bigger. It isn’t! It is actually smaller overall, sitting more naturally and snuggly on my wrist. I swapped the band out immediately for something more “jewelry-like” and am very happy. The silicone band actually made the Luxe stick out a bit from my wrist at the top and bottom, which I didn’t really like. The new band, purchased from a different seller, makes it sit flat. I’m still getting used to the features and functionality, which I think will take a while. But I already love the option of an analog watch face, which gives more of a “watch” feel, which I prefer. I’m a bit concerned about the shorter battery life (by about 3-5 days if prediction is correct) but I will see if it turns out to be an issue. ... show more

This is my 2nd Luxe. First one was still working—just scratched. I only use it really for the watch and tracking my steps. I like that it is smaller and more like a watch in size. I bought a metal mesh band for looks.
