Description

Designed to significantly reduce the effort required to cut through tough tree branches up to 2 in. thick, Fiskars Ratchet Lopper features an easy-to-use ratchet design. Simply insert the thick, dry tree branch between the blade and anvil and squeeze � the ratchet design compounds the force of a few small squeezes to power through the branch without straining your hands and arms. The fully hardened, precision-ground steel blade has a low-friction coating that helps the blade glide through wood, prevents gumming with sap and debris, and adds rust resistance. Tough steel construction with riveted handles provides a lasting value.

I have had these for a full gardening season now. I found them very easy to use and enjoyed having them on hand, particularly when I had to get through thicker stems or things with thorns. For example, these made pruning back my raspberry canes this spring super easy and fast. While they weren’t exactly needed for my lavender cut back this fall, they did make quick work of it thanks to the larger size of the blades. Overall, I’d recommend these. Great sized loppers for hedge trimming. They have a sharp enough blade to even cut small tree branches. Heavy duty with a Comfort grip that doesn’t slip, making this tool safe to use. Short blades for accuracy. It doesn’t have a safety lock though.

These loppers make trimming trees and branches much easier than I expected. The 28" handles give plenty of leverage, so even thicker branches cut smoothly without a lot of strain. The blades are sharp and durable, slicing cleanly instead of crushing the wood. They feel solid in the hands but not overly heavy, which makes them comfortable to use for longer yard work sessions. The build quality is excellent, and they’ve held up well to repeated use without loosening or dulling quickly.
