Great nail trimmer for cats. All three of my cats submitted with remarkable grace to the use of this. I've had similar ones for years, but this cuts very cleanly, , much better than my other pairs, with no crushing of nails. I especially like the curved finger support extension on one handle, which makes it much easier to keep hold of the clippers and control positioning. Tried to buy a second pair and they're already out of stock! Hopefully they'll be back soon. ... show more

I'm very happy with these . My dog usually fights me , but this time she was ok with it . Made nice clean cuts . And I was able to take my time instead of as fast as I could . We both walked away with a smile . Really .

These are overall well built clippers. Mine unfortunately have a defect in how one blade was ground, as if the grinding wheel somehow had a small groove in it, as the cutter on one blade has a section that sticks out in an unusual manner, like a small ridge. However, you're unlikely to receive one with the same defect, and if you were to get one that was made as-intended it'd be a full 5 stars. While it lacks the bells and whistles of many cutters these days, like lights for illuminating the quick in dark nails, these are ergonomic, sturdy, and sharp, and allow for one-handed locking and unlocking. All in all, while Fiskars has had some stinkers for products in the past decade, these are among those products that built their good name as reliable and economical tools. ... show more

These nail clippers are sharp and sturdy feeling. They sliced through my dog's nails without crushing them, as others do. My only complaint is that I believe they're mislabeled as large; they're more suitable for a medium sized dog.

I have a 35lb staffy, bulldog, chihuahua mix who would love to live her life as if she has a full set of gel-x extensions. I typically love to accommodate all of her wants but this one simply makes me look bad as a dog mom. I have purchased a ridiculous number of nail clippers for dogs but holy moly they are ALWAYS so bulky and difficult to use. These nail clippers though….amazing. Typically I have to sneak up on her when she’s in a docile resting state act like I’m Steve Irwin and I still only get 1-2 nails before I am forced to retreat. The Friskers brand is great for sewing and fabric scissors so I am not surprised they are perfect for spoiled (yet fashionable) canines. Clippers are lightweight, not at all bulky, and they still have a safety guard..but better! They fit better in my hand and I can actually see where I am where it needs to be so I actually cut enough off but also not too much so I don’t have to go back and give a nail a second trim. They are super sharp (use with caution) allowing for a smoother cut through the nail. I think my pride and joy hates the feeling and sound of a loud and tactile cut so this made it way easier to get through both her front paws. 🐾 Which is a complete miracle considering my years of roleplaying a crocodile hunter. I have no real criticisms or dislikes of this product. I expect them to hold up with time considering the reliable brand and my experience with their products. I would just put another reminder that these are sharp, sharper than other clippers I’ve tried, please use with safety in mind. That being said I wouldn’t keep scrolling through the millions of random nail clippers and just buy these. They are the best I have ever used!! ... show more
