This is THE NET. Got for fly fishing but will use any time I’m fishing now. For fun my 30lb corgi climbed in it, I have no doubt this can handle any fish out there. Longer handle makes it nice for east landings.

Lightweight. Sturdy. Netting doesn’t tangle fish. I will say that there have been times when smaller fish can get their head stuck in the holes of the netting. They usually are pretty easy to get out. That being said, with how expensive this net is, it should come with the protective end cap. Have used it as a wading stick in a pinch but I really wouldn’t recommend that without the cap. ... show more

This is a great net, I read a lot of reviews and I believed this net was made in the USA, this was my defining reason to spend the extra money on this net. Unfortunately right on the sticker on the net is says made in CHINA. Don’t get me wrong the net is fantastic, just be sure to know your money is going to China and not USA workers. ... show more

I just got my new net in the mail and I am super excited about it, however, the handle seems to have been repaired or poorly finished wich its a pity. I own other Fishpond products and I am sure this is a rare one of a kind mishap. Looking forward to addressing the issue cause I want to Love my Nomad. UPDATE I just got off the Phone with AVIDMAX and they were super nice and offer a quick an simple swap solution, I should get my new net by next week!!! Once I get it I will update my rating as well. 9/2/2020 It has been a while and I forgot to update my review. AvidMax totally took care of the issue, sendt me a replacement and I absolutely love this net. It is light, looks great, is kind to the fish, and most importantly it takes the abuse of living in a boat, a trailer, a tool shed or a truck! THANKS FISHPOND AND THANKS AVIDMAX ... show more
