First off, I love building things. Wood, metal, arts, crafts, rods, cars, you name it. So could I build a rack like this for the time and money? No way. It's very sturdy, easy to assemble, clean looking, and if you play around with it you can make room for more reels than expected. Some inside and others outside, and some just rods. The cushions are soft enough to protect the rods, and easy in and out, although the more rods you put in the harder it is to get out. Easy to assemble. Stable. Sturdy aluminum construction. Nicely holds small to medium sized fishing rod & reel combinations. Large fishing rods, like flipping sticks, trolling and salt water equipment, are less stable. Stability would be improved if one size/type of rod would be stored as the fit can be customized; however, not all sizes can have the more tailored fit at the same time. Looove this rack. Got rid of the typical tangle of fishing rods leaning in the corner and organized them great. Filled the front row of the rack, alternating rods with reels and rods without reels, added 4 surf rods to the back row and a couple more rods. The rack was put together in about 10 minutes but we forgot to put the bolts in the sides at the bottom of the shelves and the bottom stand fell off initially.     • Good reel size for it is 1000-2500 size if u use bigger it takes up 2-3 spaces

At first, I thought the item would be bad/cheap because of the price but I was so wrong, when you put it all together it feels sturdy. Also even with it fully loaded with setups it still has more room in the middle for more. Update: My husband put his fishing poles in this and it immediately fell apart. The piece holding it together was not strong enough for just 10 fishing poles. Took only about 10 minutes to assemble and the quality is great! My husband is really impressed with it. Nice and sturdy!
