Overall, this is a solid and well-made product that performs as expected. The build quality is impressive, and it definitely gets the job done. The only downside worth mentioning is that it's a bit on the heavier side for a standard rod. Additionally, the hook placement could have been configured a bit better to improve hookup ratios. That said, it's still a great lure and I'd recommend it to others, with just those small caveats in mind.

First of all, let me just say that I am not much of a fisherman. I do enjoy fishing, and I go as often as I can (which isn't all that much as of late), but I don't know where the fish are, nor what time of day is best to go, and where. I have some lakes near me, but nothing to write home about, and I take a good fishing camping trip about once a year in which I find myself with enough time on my hands and patience to try and try often. Second of all, I have never caught anything with a lure, and that's not for lacking of trying. I once had a large mouth grab one of my frogs, but it was dark, and by the time I start reeling it in, it had spit it back out. So this review is not going to have much to do with whether or not it works as advertised. Third of all, these things are big, and I have chosen to keep them in their packaging as I don't have room for them in my tackle box. This is okay, and not a negative thing at all, as it means they are less likely to get tangled or damaged with the other lures. Truth be told, I really enjoy casting lures, and these premium lures by FONMANG are no exception. They are a delight to watch in the water as I still try to figure out exactly how to catch a fish with them, and I feel like they do mimic blue gills movements perfectly. The attention to detail is great as well, and the price makes for an affordable tool to my growing arsenal of lures. I'm sure they would do a fine job catching Bass, Walleye, or even Pike, if only I could go where they are and let them do their thing. Would highly recommend, and will report back just as soon as I catch something with it other than moss and sticks.

This is a very realistic looking lure with a seductive swimming action. I put it through it's paces for about a half hour on my pond. Like most swimbaits of this type, the swimming action is a bit exaggerated compared to a normal fish. This has more of a snake-like movement compared to what a real fish of this size has. This is good for attracting fish, but if they aren't in an aggressive mood, I predict that it wouldn't produce very well. I didn't have any bites, but I didn't fish with it long. It orients itself well when dropped into the water, and in the 30 or so casts I tried it out, it only fowl hooked once. This is quite good for a lure like this, as the treble hooks often hook on the line if you give too much slack after the cast. I found a slow retrieve looked the best. I was aiming for a lost little bluegill out in the deep water. My pond is full of bass and bluegill, so I'll be using this lure a lot, hoping to pull out the larger fish. I think that is where this lure will shine. It's very heavy (almost one ounce) so when fish are aggressive, this can be sunk through the small ones quickly and hopefully target larger fish. Despite it's weight, it did seem to reel in at the depth I started the retrieve. My pond is only 5 feet deep, so I don't know how it will function in deeper water, but I don't anticipate any issues. I'm taking two of these on a fly-in fishing trip to Canada, as I imagine the color on these lures will mimic perch well enough to be worth trying. I'm excited to fish with it some more in my pond as the fish become more aggressive.

Exactly as described in the listing. The swimbait lure arrives in a sealed 3 pack as seen in pics #1 & #2. The length of the lure is approximately 4.25 inches, the width at the widest part being 21mm, and the height is 1.5 inches. The lure itself is made of hard plastic, while the tailfin is soft and feels like rubber/nylon type of material. The 3D printing on the lure is amazing, giving it a lifelike appearance (pics #3, #5, & #6). The sections are connected with steel connectors as seen in pic# 4. The jointed segments allow realistic swimming movement which you can control via your retrieval speed. Best to cast and retrieve opposite to the current flow in saltwater. This was tested and used in saltwater and caught a bunch of various sized fish, but the main catch of the day was the very nice size Redfish you see in pic #8. My son and I only fish for fun and practice catch and release. The Redfish was safely and gently released back into the Gulf. Excellent value for a 3 pack of swimbaits that work great in saltwater. I do recommend you wash and dry the lure after use in saltwater to prevent rusting of the hooks and/or steel connectors. This will definitely do well in freshwater. Very pleased with these lifelike lures which are well constructed, and contain 2-3 balls in the head portion that rattles which turns into vibrations in the water to attract fish.

The blue-wasp design really stands out in murky water, and I’ve had success with aggressive topwater strikes, especially in early mornings-the 15g weight gives it a nice splash without spooking fish. The hooks stay sharp even after multiple catches, and the saltwater durability held up better than expected. That said, the action can feel inconsistent on slower retrieves (I noticed the tail sometimes drags in choppy water). Over time, the paint might chip after heavy use against rocks. For the money, though, these lures are a reliable pick if you’re okay with tweaking your retrieve speed. I would recommend them for casual anglers but might opt for a pricier model for tournament-level precision.
