The three pack is great value for the money compared to buying them individually. I like the fact that there is no battery back up that would need replacing once a year. We have a whole house generator so it's not needed.

    • Nice CO detector -- 3 pack is the right size for me
I had older First Alert CO detectors that eventually wore out (they last 7 years and must be replaced). One thing that annoyed me about the old ones was the battery backup -- it was plugged in to the wall but the battery still wore down (typically in the middle of the night). There is still a version if you want the battery backup, but mine does not have it and I like that. These take a single outlet and are suitable for placing low to the ground. They have a very faint red light -- probably not enough for a nightlight and not so bright that it bothers me when sleeping. These are good to have for safety and I like this model. ... show more
