this “king” mattress is “firm”. I was concerned that it may be to firm, but it seems to have a reasonable amount of ‘give’ and cushion for comfort, while still giving support. We require support for back/ neck/ hip and knee issues. This 14” mattress inflated to 13” upon install. Use care when trimming away the plastic. When you breach the vaccum, the mattress will expand with some force and possibly knock you over if you are in the way. It arrives vacummed sealed in half. We were unsure of position, so when we trimmed away the plastic; we had the mattress facing the wrong way as it expanded with some force. For additional mattress support, we put a sheet of plywood under the mattress, of the king frame that we purchased from amazon. -worth the investment. -comfortable while firm -budget friendly -convenient

I bought the queen luxe/firm. I can’t believe this came squished up in a box. Once opened, I did as the directions said. Let it expand for 72 hours. This is so comfortable. Firm buts supports. No more stiff back. I also had both hips replaced. I can sleep on my side. Mattress is as described. Love the handles on the side. Would recommend. Of course this went on sale after I purchased it. Still worth every penny.
