Like this, it works well for my kids, but we had to upgrade to larger screws to secure it after it came loose a couple of times.

Works exactly as expected for making kindling out of chopped wood. Seems solidly crafted. Works best when mounted to a secure base. The only challenge has been when the chopped wood has a knot in it, otherwise splits it relatively easily. The 3lb sledge is a great bonus to the package! I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

I got this for my husband. He loves it. Chops wood up great. Our 4 year old can even do it. Now we just need to place it up on a thick 3 ft talk log so we don’t have to bend over to chop up kindling.

This makes chopping kindling fun instead of a chore. You do need to make sure that the logs will fit into the opening. Mount your splitter with room on the bottom to allow for longer pieces of wood to go through or they will get hung up. I love it.

We’ve tried a few logs and we can’t seem to get any to split. The sled is pretty good, but wood basically gets stuck in there and the blade is too dull to actually split anything.
