Description

Tent Stove Water Tank: When a wood-burning stove is in use, the stove pipe carries a large amount of high-temperature flue gas, and under normal circumstances, this heat would be directly lost outdoors. However, the stove water tank, through its design that fits snugly against the stove pipe, is equivalent to "recovering" the heat energy that would otherwise be wasted. It eliminates the need to add extra firewood to heat water, and also eliminates the need to carry power banks, small generators, or other electrical equipment. It relies entirely on the waste heat from combustion to prepare hot water, and can be used stably even in remote campsites without electricity. Besides basic drinking and washing, in low-temperature camping environments, preheated water can be used to quickly melt snow and ice, wash dishes, and even be used with simple piping to create a small shower. Overall this is a great addition to any hot tent stove. It fits nicely, easy to install as it just slides into the chimeny, and is relatively light for its size. All in all it's a great value for the money. The reason for 4 stars is that it slightly leaks, so I am concerned about that and therefore its durability. It's a very small leak. Maybe a tablespoon in the span of a few hours. Overall, this is a great addition to your set up for making coffee, tea, or even warming water to take a hot shower (given you don't get the water too hot and that it's going to be a very quick shower.) ... show more

Fittings on mine were backwards. The only way to mount it to my stove is upside down. I have two different stoves and both stoves have a male connection for the stovepipe.
