I also purchased the receiver unit that mounts to a pole for a carport project, both worked great for site leveling and frame level, With the included magnetic mount I used the green laser to help keep the screws through roof panels into the frame, however in full sun the laser was hard to see. Second laser level I have used. The first one (Johnson) worked great and still would except it had a propitiatory connection to tripod. When that broke level became a paper weight. This is very inexpensive, has horizontal and vertical lasers and works great. The tripod is a little stronger than chop sticks but since the fitting is standard I am able to use with a standard tripod. I suppose that is why it is so cost effective. This product is one of the best you can find, and it is available for a really good price. It gets the job done easily and quickly. I chose to get it with the tripod, which is very helpful to put the level on the height you need. It comes with a good protective case for your equipment to last the most while carrying it in your toolboxes. The battery lasts a long. I used it a lot and did not need to replace the battery yet. I really like the level and the included magnet base. The stand is super cheap quality and I’m afraid the slightest over adjustment will snap something. It’s also really short for most uses.

I need to hang 4’x8’ sheets of bead board in my 36’x24’ pole barn. This level line was clearly visible throughout the building. No issues. The plumb line worked jus as well.
