Really good buy! Received a full pouch (measuring 9 1/2 inches long by 6 inches wide) of 32 pieces of real obsidian. Some pieces have a rainbow sheen on their edges. (Maybe from a prism effect. Obsidian is a natural glass. I don’t know.) The edges aren’t sharp enough to cut. I’ve found it safe to handle. The specimens are an opaque jet black, except for 3 which are more translucent. I'm very happy with the quality, size, and weight-for-price of this batch of obsidian stones. They're all obviously natural obsidian; the size ranges from chunks of 1-inch to over 2-inch; and it's the best value that I've found online. (And the batch was, indeed, over the advertised 2 lbs.)

What’s not to love about a bag of black obsidian? Very nice pieces without more than a couple small shards broken in shipment. I loved washing what little dust there was off of these fine stones. I just arranged them in a copper bowl I have to put out-the colors were a beautiful contrast to one another. I love thinking of the energy it took when they were created. Very good price for how many pieces you get. There are big pieces, over 2 inches, but no small little pieces, the smallest were about 3/4 inches. I was very surprised no dinky pieces to make weight. Very nice deal. Those who say it isn't real obsidian, doesn't know their obsidian very well. I was hoping for some "Apache tears" but these are big chunks, which is fine by me.
