  • Good charger, perfect for weekend backpackers
The charger is small, lightweight, and is good to top off my Pixel 6a. It took my phone from 35% to 100%, so I bet it could do even a slight bit more. It's going to work for my use case. It weighs 0.226 lbs according to my postal scale which is perfect for backpacking and about 3 to 4 overnights. I was hoping I would get a little bit more charge out of it though. It says it's a 5000 mAh pack, but it really only gives 2650 mAh. That is almost half and so overall feels misleading to me. That being said, it's still perfect for my needs taking it backpacking as it is lightweight and eliminates the need for a charging cable too and is sized nicely. The pack gets slightly warm while charging and makes me think if Anker had a feature where I could enable slower charging so that some of that energy wouldn't unnecessarily be lost to heat should I so choose. The little power bank charges fast, and I do like that, but would like the option to do slow charging for a 4th or even 5th backpacking night where I really need to extend the power of my phone if needed. Despite it's flaws, it's still a very nice charger and I'm happy with it. ... show more

  • Def most portable
I've been using anker products for years. My fave portable battery and cables. I grabbed this one for a few reasons: 1) it's super small, like 2 tubes of lipstick small; 2) it does not require me to lug a cord around; 3) while charging, there's nothing long and heavy to dangle. I did buy this knowing that it's a smaller amount of juice, so I wouldn't get 1.5 charges the way I do with my other battery packs, BUT I'm sacrificing that for the 3 points I just listed above. I have the Samsing S24+ which holds a decent battery life to begin with, so I think for a day of traveling, this battery should be just the extra amount of juice I'd need. I will say, even tho it's not listed as an official "quick charge" it's sure fast charging and that works for me. ... show more

  • Provides a 64% recharge on a Samsung S23
Overall: Good quality and convenient, but a little bulky. Recharge capability is sufficient if you need something to get you through the occasional emergency you'll be happy. However, there is not enough power to fully recharge a large phone from 0% to 100%. I bought 2 of these and have used them on a Samsung S9, Samsung S23, and various earbuds. Speed: "Fast charging" is supported but that term is relative to your phone, usage, max wattage, and battery size. For simple reference, it takes a little over an hour to recharge a Samsung S23 from 0% to 64%. Reserve power: Do not expect this to recharge your phone from 0% to 100% on a single charge but a 60+% recharge is reasonable. Physical notes: Roughly 2x as thick as a typical phone. There is 1 male usb-c out swivel jack and 1 female usb-c in/out jack. The swivel jack is convenient but its awkward due to the bulk of the battery. When plugged into the swivel jack your phone will not lay flat and the rounded bottom of the battery prevents it from being used as a vertical stand, seems like a missed design opportunity. There is a side usb-c jack as well but using that requires you to carry a cable (included in the box). It is possible to charge 2 devices at once but the battery drains so fast when doing that you will get better results if you charge them separatey. NOTE: A USB-C to USB-C cable is included but it does NOT include a wall charger. You will need to provide your own. Anker support: EXCELLENT. I was contacted by Anker after posting my original review. In my original review I posted a 50% average power gain, this was incorrect, I retested several times and gains were 62%-64% every time. I had hoped for a 100% recharge but I have since learned that is an unrealistic expectation for a battery bank of this size. Anker proactively took the time to explain what power gains should be expected during a recharge and how much power gets lost during the charge process. They offered to refund my purchase if I was unhappy but I declined. I am happy with this power bank and now I am also better educated. Unbelievably excellent customer service by Anker! ... show more

  • No low current/trickle mode
Seems to work fine for phones. Looks and feels nice. Does not have a low current/always on mode like other Anker batteries. Will not provide power to passive usb devices.

  • Perfectly sized portable batteries, great for older family members!
The biggest testament I can give to these nano power banks is that I've bought over 8 of them across the lightning and USB-C versions, just to give out to my family members and friends. The power banks are super small and lightweight, such that I carry one around in my pockets at most times. They retain power and are fast to charge using the included USB-C charging cable. I absolutely LOVE how the power bank has the flip up/down charging outlet, so that I don't need to carry wires anymore, and really only need the power bank itself to charge up my phone. These are the perfect power banks for older family members who are forgetful about charging their phones. They can leave one of them in their purse or car, and use it on the go as needed. Another great value product from Anker that I'd highly recommend! ... show more

  • Convenient, but weak
I carry this in my coat pocket for emergencies. It was fully charged when I put it in my pocket, but 3 weeks later, when I needed to use it, it had self drained to nothing. So, not great. You'll need to keep it charged frequently (weekly?) in order for it to be useful. If you can commit to that, it's really handy. I love that it has a built in USB-C plug. One extra good thing to note is that you can also charge the unit itself with this same plug, as long as your charger outlet also has a USB-C connection. ... show more

  • Works great, simple, gets the job done
I spent way too much time trying to find the "perfect charger" for travel. After trying several chargers, I decided to go with the simplest option. No cords required, it just charges my phone (or other USB-C items), just gets me through the day, isn't fancy. This product works great for that purpose. It seems to charge my phone quickly - gets me from 20% to 70%+ in a short time (didn't time it - but felt like 30 minutes or so). Just enough to keep me going. I'm very happy with this product, the small size, the simplicity and am glad I returned the bulkier chargers that required cords and were much heavier. ... show more
