I have been using these type of firestarters now for the longest time. I keep a good stock pile of them for all kinds of reasons. Once these get going they generate enough heat to get most things going and they also last a fair amouunt of time too. It does not take hardly any flame to get these lit. They start really easily. I ordered this particular pack mainly because I liked and wanted the tin. Most of these kinds of firestarters are normally supplied in boxes, and the straw component of the firestarter seems break of and to get everywhere. Keepingthem safely in this tin, means that they are kept SAFE and also, the straw-like pieces that fall off, can be gathered at the end to either start a fire or, help with starting a fire. 60 is a good sized number and should keep us in warm fires for a good amount of time, before we empty this tin!

These things work amazing. They will start a fire very quickly. They will even start with just a flint and steel. All they need is a spark. Great price for such a good product

I love these! We put them at the bottom of our table top pellet stove and everything gets going so easily. The tin is a nice touch since I'm always struggling with what to do with our fire starters that come in plain cardboard boxes. I'll probably save it to use w/ hi Charlotte some of the others we have that didn't come with cute containers. These are excellent, really a necessity when trying to get a good flame going… No matter the size.
