These work great and are much less expensive than the tumbleweed branded product. Slightly smaller than a tumbleweed, but not that much smaller and they still work to light the charcoal in my smokers.

My wife and I love to camp - with our RV that is! Most campgrounds won't let you bring in wood unless it's certified to their standard or you buy wood once you get there. We tend to buy wood when we get there so we aren't hauling it around, but it is often hard to get the fire started with their wood. We buy the 'fake' logs to lay on the bottom under the real wood and take a couple with us, but they can take a while to get going as well - I'm not a fan. We bought these fire starters on a whim just to see if they start the fire any better. We have a small firepit at home so decided to give them a try at home first before taking them with us - in an RV you take the minimum or you can accumulate stuff pretty quick! It these didn't work, they were not going to take up valuable space. Wow - these things are amazing. They start up right away and keep going pretty strong considering their small size. The wood chips on the outside help you to light them right away and the inner resin keeps them going strong. We had a pile of wood and though a few small logs over this fire starter and it had it going before it went out. I think it burned maybe 8 to 10 minutes - I should have timed it, but it felt like a long time. Anyway, enough time to get my wood burning nicely. Also, no noticeable smell other than the wood. They come in a nice compact box maybe 8x8x8 or so - pretty small - when I got the box I thought I wasn't getting the entire 70 pieces, but they are fairly small - only a couple of inches long. The box will make it nice to stick in my RV garage and haul around out of the way. Plus it only weighs a couple of pounds. I'm so glad I came across these fire starters and I highly recommend.

I’m a pretty big fan of these kind of firestarters so starting off the beginning of this review I’ll say I was already excited for them. In my opinion these are the best kind of fire starters you can get, they seem to burn the quickest for long periods of time. That might’ve sounded weird. Let me put it this way. These catch fire fast and then stay lit for a long period of time often building a very good strong fire. I only buy these kinds of fire starters, and this particular brand did a knockout job. Highly recommend. If you’re curious, they don’t have any weird smells and seem to be very safe.
