A great MacBook case! It looks just like a composition book, and has fooled a lot of people. As a university student/staff, it gives me peace of mind to know that other people will be deterred from stealing it since it looks so realistic. The durability is good and feels sturdy, and it has kept my laptop safe. The little plastic pegs underneath have already peeled off, but that's the only gripe that I have. I bought it in September 2024, and it just got its first cracked corner, but I blame that on user error. For the price, I find that it's worth it!

This works great, fits very well. Protects from scratches and does not get in the way at all. It was a little bit difficult to put on, but there's a good reason for that -- it has to fit TIGHTLY. Follow the diagram and start at the back hinge. And be sure to snap the corners and edges on. I haven't dropped it (knock on wood!) but I believe it will provide sufficient protection for my needs. It's not going to bounce like some of those life-proof cases, but I didn't want something bulky. I wanted to SEE my my new rose gold MacBook Air in all its glory. I've smashed the corners of several MacBook Pros over the years, so I really wanted this one to stay pristine. If this cover shatters, it will be easy and cheap to replace, but the MBA...not so much! UPDATE: Oct 2022 - I ordered a different clear cover by IBENZER in May 2022 because this one didn't last a year. It was cracking around the corners on the top cover where it gets the most action from opening and closing (bottom is fine -- I am actually still using the Fintie bottom piece with the IBENZER top). The IBENZER didn't last 6 months! So now I'm debating whether to buy another Fintie. Given the price on both of them, having an "insurance policy" for a couple of bucks a month, I guess I can't complain too much, and I'm not going to reduce my rating on this Fintie cover. But 5 months just doesn't cut it for the other one.

Just arrived today. It is super cute, and snapped onto my laptop easily, but it feels extremely flimsy and like one quick thump would crack the whole thing. I'm keeping it because I like how it looks and it wasn't expensive but I have little faith that it would act as any kind of protection - this case is strictly for looks only.

If you want to protect your (new and shiny) Apple MacBook Air released in 2020, then read on... Pros: 1) Packaging: This is typically not a "pro" but I want to emphasize the packaging of this product, as it is very important that these hardshell skins stay free of dust, cracks, and smudges in shipping. FinTie has done a phenomenal job with packaging here. The two-piece hardshell cover comes vacuum sealed as well as a clear plastic wrap on each. 2) The build and durability: As soon as I took off the wrappers, I was 100% convinced that the two-piece hardshell case is going to last forever despite the light weight. The polycarbonate plastic does not feel cheap or flimsy at all, and just speaks quality all around 3) Fit and protection: This is the most important aspect about this product as this is why you are buying it. Rest assured, both top and bottom covers snap into place easily and come with fins to help dissipate the heat this MacBook Air builds up with heavy usage. The MacBook will open all the way (the last 20 degrees will feel ever so slightly harder but that's fine - if your covers are perfectly snapped into place, this will not cause any damage). The fit itself is excellent and while I am not rich enough to do a proper drop test, this is most certainly going to save your MacBook surface / edges from getting dented if you drop it by mistake by absorbing the shock. That said, if you do drop your MacBook Pro such that its hinges get stressed, this cover may not save those hinges but it is still better to have this protection on than not. Cons: 1) Just a quick fix that was omitted from the instructions: THE TOP PART HAS TWO "LIPS" AND THEY GO ON THE EDGE WHERE THE CAMERA IS. NOT THE EDGE NEAR THE HINGES. The instructions do not say this so please make sure you put it on correctly.

I bought the clear version for myself 5 years ago, and since I gave the laptop to my daughter, I thought she’d need her own case. It fits great, she loves the design, it’s easy to clean (we are messy in this house lol), and it doesn’t fall of out your hands. Perfect!

I loved it at first I looked just like my old one and I thought it was going to be the same quality but it wasn’t within the first month the corners started chipping which why it happens, I was not too upset about it. The another month goes by and it keeps breaking no matter what I do I keep having to glue pieces back up.
