  • A good case to protect your camera …
Color: Black
This is a nice semi-rigid case for your Canon G7X and numerous other camera’s. It offers a secure place for your camera, as well as space for a few accessory items (memory cards, etc.). It has a secure zipper and good overall construction. It has a minimally padded interior to protect your camera from shock. The interior has a divider to separate the accessories from the camera area. The camera area has a hook and look strap to secure your camera as well. This will serve as a great travel case for my G7X, especially when packed in a carry on bag or backpack. Its hard exterior will keep it from crushing and it will hold almost everything I need associated with the camera. One caveat, however, is that I am unable to fit the OEM Cannon charger for the G7X. I can squeeze it in, but I’m not comfortable with how tight the contents are when I zip it closed. I wish there was just an extra .25” to .5” of room that would allow that to fit more comfortably. I don’t think I have to worry about the charger floating around in my bag so not a how stopper, the important items are accommodated. It’s a decent case, and a good value if it works for your camera. ... show more

  • A good value for someone who needs protection and storage for the camera and a few accessories.
Color: Black
I bought this case for my Canon G7 X and like the overall design. The hard EVA shell provides a good amount of protection without making the case excessively bulky, and the interior has enough room to keep the camera secure rather than allowing it to move around inside. The shock-absorbing base is a nice feature and adds another layer of protection if the case gets bumped or accidentally dropped. I also like having dedicated storage for the charger and three SD cards. Keeping the memory cards in the case instead of loose in a camera bag makes it much easier to keep everything together. The case has a clean, simple black exterior and the zipper operates smoothly. The adjustable wrist strap is useful when carrying the camera by itself, especially when traveling or taking the camera out for quick photos. The case is compact enough to fit easily into a larger backpack or travel bag without taking up much space. My only complaint is that the case is designed specifically around the camera, so there isn’t much extra room for larger accessories. If you have additional batteries, cables, or other gear, you’ll probably need a separate bag. The hard shell also gives it a somewhat rigid feel, which is good for protection but limits how much you can squeeze into it. Overall, this is a practical camera case that provides good protection while keeping the Canon G7 X compact and organized. The dedicated charger compartment and three SD card slots are particularly useful, and the wrist strap is a nice convenience. For the price, it seems like a good value for someone who mainly needs protection and storage for the camera and a few essential accessories. ... show more

  • Inside is too large for camera, allowing it to slide around.
Color: Black
Just because I have my phone with me, I typically take most photos with it. However, when I travel I take a point & shoot camera as a backup/supplement to my phone. I own the Canon PowerShot G7X Mark II and I have been using an old softside camera bag that I used with my previous digital camera. While it does hold the camera along with its charger and backup battery, I have been looking for a hard shell case to provide more protection. When I saw this case, I ordered it hoping to use it on the next trip I take. When I received this case, the first thing that struck me was how large it seemed. Closed, the case measures approximately 5.75” wide, 3.75” deep, and 3.25” thick. By contrast, my old case measures 5.5” tall, 3.5” wide, and 3” thick. While the dimensions for the two cases don’t seem drastically different, this case definitely seems more bulky. (See photos.) However, I am willing to accept a more bulky case if it provides more protection for my camera. The exterior of the case is covered in a faux leather material. I do wish it was covered with a canvas-like fabric because I am sure that this “leather” material won't be durable over the long-term and will eventually peel, like so many other items I have owned made from a similar material. When open, the bottom of the case is deeper than the top. The inside of the case is covered with a soft fabric that will protect the screen on my camera from scratches. The bottom of the half of the case holds the camera and has padded “bumps.” The same bumps are on the camera side of the dividing flap, with the other side of the flap having three slots for memory cards. The case opens with a zipper around three sides. On the case I received, the zipper isn’t evenly sewn to one side of the case and this fact is noticeable because of the zipper being an aqua color that contrasts with the black case. This uneven attachment doesn’t affect the zipper’s ability to easily open and close. There is a loop strap on the exterior of the case that has a slide that can be used to tighten the strap around your wrist. However, I find the case too heavy to wear on my wrist, when the camera is in the case, and too bulky for my wrist whether the camera is in the case or not. The case would be more functional if it had a long strap that could be used to carry it on your shoulder or across your body. The inside of the bottom half measures about 1.75” deep, 5.25” wide, and 3.5” tall. Herein lies my biggest issue with this case. This cavity is about 1” wider and ¾” taller than my camera and allows my camera to slide around inside the case. While there is a strap that should theoretically hold the camera in place, the strap only has a small rectangle of Velcro and can’t be adjusted to be tight enough to hold the camera stationary. If the piece of Velcro was longer, this issue would still exist because the strap doesn’t come from the bottom of the cavity (like straps in a suitcase) but rather is attached to the top of each of the two long sides of the cavity. I thought perhaps this issue was a result of this case attempting to be a one-size-fits-all for the Mark I, Mark II, and Mark III models. However, I checked online for the dimensions of all three cameras and there is no more than a 3mm difference between the measurements of all three models. Therefore, this case is too large for all three models. I have serious concerns about my camera sliding around in this case. If I should drop the case, I don’t really think it would protect the camera as well as my current soft case because the camera will bounce inside the case. Due to the excess room that allows my camera to slide around, I am deducting two stars from my rating. The top half of the case is about 1” deep and has a mesh pocket. To insert items into the mesh pocket, simply separate the elastic edges of the top and bottom pieces of mesh. I was easily able to store my battery charger (with one extra battery in the charger) and a second extra battery in this pocket. When I ordered this case, it was priced at $13.99. If this case held the camera snugly and adequately protected it, I would think this price was okay. As it is, the only way I feel comfortable using this case is by cutting my own pieces of foam to take up the excess space. If you only want a case to protect your camera from dust while sitting on a shelf, this one will work. Otherwise, I recommend you look elsewhere. ... show more

  • This case will protect your phone but it’s a bit bulky
Color: Black
So for the pros - this case will definitely protect your camera. The camera that I have and wanted a case for is the Canon G7X Mark ii. This is a hard case - that is a comfortable fit for the camera. There is also an extra room for the battery and possibly charger if needed. Now for the cons - this case is not aesthetically pleasing. It’s very bulky - almost “looks” somewhat cheap. It’s not something that I can easily fit in my purse if I wanted to. BUT- it gets the job done. If you’re looking for a hard case that will protect your phone regardless of how it looks - then this is it. If you’re looking for a “cute” case you can easily throw in your bag - not sure I would recommend this. There are other smaller, cuter cases currently on the market. ... show more

  • Carrying case vs storage case
Color: Black
I like this FINTIE camera case, as it is somewhat different, and thus makes it stand out from the similar products. PU leather exterior, the only one in my small hard case collection, which looks very nice, with its blue zipper. Adjustable wrist straps, though not tight enough, but no other manufacturers add this small item. I don't like the fixed elastic restraining band and even cut it into two pieces to fit my needs. Now, this elastic band is exactly the way I want. For this kind of simple thing, no one else has done it before. Therefore, this maker might listen to some of my suggestions. Now the mesh pocket is a must for this kind of carrying case. My question is that why put those accessories in the case you will not use during the day trip, such as a charger and cable. When you are on the road, your carrying case needs to be as light and slim as possible. So, no center divider either. Carrying case is not the same as a storage case. Of course, when you take away the things people think should be there, they will complain. Please give it a try. This way, the height of the case can be lowered just as the thickness of the cameras. Your blue zipper PU leather case will look even better! ... show more

  • Nice To Have All Camera Pieces Together Just Wish Outer Coating Was A Bit Nicer
Color: Black
I have a Canon G7X Mark ii camera. It has a lighteight silicone cover, but I wanted a case to store the camera in. I got this to help. OUTSIDE That is the one part of this case that I am not fond of. It has the type of coating on it that tends to break down and get sticky over time. I wish that it was a different outer coating. Still for the short term it is a nice case. ZIPPER This is a decent zipper that runs smoothly. DOES IT FIT? I have a smaller neck band that I cam remove if I need to to put it in the case on days I don't want to take the time to fold it just right. I love that it fits my charger and battery too. I can put my photo cards in here too. THE BOTTOM LINE This is the first time I have had a place to keep all of the parts of my camera together with places for each of the things to be protected. MY RATING FOUR STARS. I am not fond of the outer coating of this case so I took off a star for that. I wish it was something that would last better long term. Still, I like the case and will use it as long as it lasts. It is helpful to have everything in one place so it does not get misplaced. ... show more
