After testing several folding pianos—including the OYAYO and TERENCE models—I chose to keep the Finger Dance. It’s not the most premium in feel or sound, but it offers the best balance of portability, functionality, and convenience. It folds easily, holds a long battery charge, charges via USB-C, and works well with Bluetooth MIDI (with a slight delay in DAWs like Logic). Be sure to test the key lights when you get it—some units may arrive with non-functional LEDs. When powering on, the red lights should scroll up and down. You can turn them off by holding the metronome button until it says “LED OFF.” There are a few drawbacks: the volume resets to default every time you power it on, which is a minor annoyance. And while the sound quality is decent, it lacks the richness of a grand piano—the speakers are smaller and rear-facing, which gives it a slightly thin sound. Also, while it connects easily via Bluetooth MIDI to apps like Skoove, Simply Piano, and Flowkey, I haven’t been able to get any of these apps to trigger the light-up keys during lessons. This could be a settings issue, but so far, I haven’t found a way to enable that functionality. Despite those limitations, this keyboard has proven to be the most practical and well-rounded choice for my needs.

I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! I was looking for a rechargeable & portable keyboard to bring outdoors for YEARS!! I finally found this folding keyboard here. I compared this one with several other brands folding keyboards on Amazon, and this is the best of them. It is SO LIGHT!!! It also comes with a bag so very portable. It has a music stand so I can put my iPad music sheets on it. Also, I mainly use this keyboard to connect with my laptop as a MIDI keyboard and it works so good (you need to use a USB extension port)! And the prices is affordable! The customer service is 10/10!!! They helped me with my questions within 24 hours! I just love everything about this keyboard and I so ready to bring it out to a park and have fun with friends!

I purchased this to carry with me so that I have something to practice with when I travel. It folds in half, is USB rechargeable, comes with a music stand, and is much easier to carry and travel with than a full size non-foldable keyboard. This easily fits in an airplane overhead or under the seat in front of me. It has a click lock when it unfolds and an extra plastic piece that can be inserted for added security. It comes with a basic foot pedal for sustain, wall adapter/charger, music stand, carry bag, and a few other minor accessories. The case is thin material, not padded, so I have to be very careful with this not to damage the piano keyboard inside. Save the little styrofoam pad that covers the on/off switch, or a slight bump and it can turn on inside the case during transport. The keyboard keys are relatively low quality plastic and feel like a childrens toy, but it is a full size keyboard and suitable for practice on the go. The keys are lightly semi-weighted and do sound louder if I hit them harder. Every white key and every black key plays fine and at appropriate volume relative to all other keys. The sustain pedal works properly. Battery life is good, and it also plays while plugged in and charging. On the digital volume control the lowest setting is a little too loud, so I have to use headphones if I don’t want to bother other people at night or early morning if they’re sleeping. The voice quality of the piano itself is mediocre, not for performance, but again, fine for practice. It has many other programmable digital voices as well, electric piano, organ, strings, horns, bells, etc, most of which I don’t use, but are fun for the kids. So on balance, for an affordable, portable, foldable, practice keyboard, this is good, understanding the many limitations, and I also let the smaller grandchildren play with it, and this is a good instrument for them to bang away on more so than the more expensive electric and acoustic pianos in our house. It has held up well with the children and remains undamaged.

I have an acoustic piano at home and love it! But I found I’m traveling a lot, sometimes weeks at a time and it’s hard to find a hotel/airbnb with a piano. I didn’t want to lose out on all that practice time. So I found this piano, which I call our travel piano. Of course it’s not the quality of a high end keyboard or an acoustic piano, but it is perfect for my needs. It’s folds up small, I can practice the songs I’m learning from anywhere! I am just returning from my first 2 week trip, and I’ve gotten to practice piano everyday! The quality seems good for my needs. If I had to complain of something, it’s that when it folds up, the keys are all on the outside, which seems vulnerable to getting broken. The travel case is useful, but perhaps a hard case would solve this problem.

I decided to take online piano lessons as an adult, and since I expect to be doing a lot of traveling over the next 6 months, I wanted a very portable practice option. I had hoped the quality of this item would also be sufficient for my needs as a beginning pianist. Well... yes and no. I still intend to use this for travel, as it is VERY portable. (Imagine being able to take your piano with you on a plane; and not as a carry-on, but as a handbag!) When folded up nicely into its little case, it's not much bigger than a melodica. The sound isn't amazing, but it's fine for what I need it for. It plays music aloud without the need for a connection to an external speaker. The electronic electronic features are okay, I guess, but I personally don't really care about them; this is mostly for practicing fingering. My biggest concern is over the quality of the keys. For this price, I wasn't expecting nicely-weighted piano keys. However, the keys can be rather touchy; the slightest trembling of my finger as I press a key is sometimes enough to trigger the same note twice. Worse, they don't seem very stable, and as you're moving your hands across them, they can bend from side to side. In particular, the two center keys (on either side of the fold), middle E & F, are VERY wobbly, and there is a noticeably larger gap between them. Even when you press them down straight, they bend in toward the center gap. (See pictures.) Not only is it annoying, but I also worry that playing them too much, or too forcibly, might break them! For this reason, I avoid playing in the middle octave, which is REALLY inconvenient, to be honest. As I said, I will still use this for practice while I am traveling. However, it's definitely not a good choice for any serious performing, and I'm not sure I trust it to stand up to regular practice, either. After playing it for a couple weeks, I'm looking into getting a higher quality digital piano for those uses.

This is a perfect piano key board for a beginners piano class. I like the fact that it froze in half, which makes it easier to carry. It has an automatic power shut off. It has a lot of keys to play with, and also comes with a metronome, record /play, demo and many other features. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS ITEM.

This piano while being portable has several major limitations that make it unsuitable for my needs. The first is that the keys are slightly narrower that standard keys on a piano, This is evident when playing larger intervals such as octaves. Also there is no touch sensitivity, and there is a low hum when playing with headphones.
