At first I wasn't sure how I felt about the corners, coming from a case with a different feel is always strange but by the second day I definitely prefer the feel of this case over the textured one I had before. I will also say the magnetic ring I hand stuck to the back of my phone seems to be slightly off from where this case says it should be, that's 100% on me, I just tried to estimate where a ring should be based of images I saw online. I tried it on my son's Pixel 8 (he doesn't have a ring on his) and it fit great and had a strong magnetic attachment to any of the mounts and chargers I usually use. I opted to keep my old ring on under this case and it fits great. I'd definitely recommend this case to anyone with a Pixel 8 that want's to start using magnetic accessories.

Overall, this is a solid phone case. I like the look with the transparent back and black sides/magnetic attachment ring. CASE: The fit is good, button response is also really good. The grip on the sides is that sort of rubberized plastic that tends to show oily fingerprints (bad) but has decent friction to keep it in your hand (good). I do wish there was some kind of physical texture there to make it "feel" more secure in the hand. I haven't had any issues with charging via the USB port or wirelessly, unlike some inexpensive cases. SCREEN PROTECTOR: The fact this comes with a glass screen protector is a great bonus, and this one fits well, no issues with bubbles and comes with all the proper accessories to prep the phone screen for installation. I wouldn't say it is the best case I've ever purchased, but it's a good all-around case and a bargain at the price including the screen protector. It would be a 5-star case with a little more grippy texture on the sides but I'd still recommend it at 4 stars.

This phone case fits perfectly on a Pixel 8 phone. If it does not fit your phone, you probably have a Pixel 8a or 8 Pro. PROS: - Good fit for Pixel 8 (Proper mic hole, notch for speakers, power and volume buttons feel nice) - Good protection for camera bump - Not slippery - Lightweight (Weights only 34g) - Good value (You get a case and a screen protector) - Transparent back shows off phone color CONS: - Weaker magnet - Poor finish quality (Scratchy bits along the rim, just where you hold the phone) - Poor protection for screen (Lip not raised above screen enough to pad) - Slightly worse speaker sound (Narrows sound stage and compresses treble) - Bulky (Large, square corners, now takes up much more space in pockets) I'm not sure if I'll stick with this case, the added bulk is not worth the marginal difference in screen protection. After all, the screen is what breaks the most on phones.

Finally a pixel 8 case with the magnetic ring! I do wish the case was fully translucent as I like to see the color of my phone, but at least some of it is visible. It's a really sturdy case made with smooth, lightweight silicone. It feels like it should resist grime for quite a while. I also love that a tempered glass screen protector was included with the case. My phone feels completely protected without the bulk of those heavy otterbox style cases.

So far I love this case. I like that the magnet is built in to the case. The last one I had kept melting off in the Georgia heat, lol. All the buttons and holes are right where they should be and everything lines up well. It feels nice and slim, not chonky. I lost the screen protector before I could put it on (doh!), but I'll update the review when I find it and get it on. I feel like this was a really good value and like that the case and protector were bundled together.

My phone consistently overheated when charging wirelessly with this case on. The phone would be hot to the touch or it wouldn't charge fully because it was overheating. I tested this with two different wireless chargers and the same thing happened. I put my old phone case on and this did not happen. It's a bit suprising, but this is potentially dangerous - at best it's damaging the phone and reducing its lifespan. At worst, it could be a fire hazard. It's too bad, because otherwise, I like this phone case.

This phone case was a great buy just for the price alone. But it also has a great feel, provides a good grip for the phone user, and comes with a pre-installed magnetic circle for attaching it to my portable stand at my desk and in my car. It does not interfere with the wireless charging capability of my phone. I also find that the button access on the side of the phone is not degraded by the case.
