When I received these two choc. break away bar silicone molds in the mail it did "NOT" pass the pinch or stretch test. If you bend it, pinch it, stretch it and you see white appear then there are toxic fillers in the silicone that will leach into your food when using it. Our country calls it "Food Grade" Silicone which really means they allow toxic fillers! : ( They say it's European Grade silicone but it's not!!! IT"S MADE IN CHINA : ( European standards for baking silicone make sure it is (100% Pure Silicone) to protect their people from this hazard! WHY DOES"NT OUR COUNTRY DO THE SAME? Good question . . . ." We The People" need to wake up to the fact that there are not any laws to protect us from many toxic hazards in this country.     • These make nice thick chocolate bars
These bars are nice and thick. Each bar of milk chocolate weighs in at 41-56 grams. The size and shape is perfect for me. The only thing is why the heck are there 2 kinds of molds in the package. The package should really have 2 of either kind so you can get the kind you want and not the other. I prefer the one with the more divisions as they are a nice bite size. The larger break apart molds are two bites. Other than that they work perfectly for my dairy and sugar free milk chocolate. ... show more

Update: I tried baking them at 250 degrees and smell is gone! They also work really well, though I may only use them for non edible things just to be on the safe side...updating to 3 stars for ease of use and smell going away, but still detracting a couple because I don't really believe that they're "European grade" silicone. Original review: These smell really bad out of the package and the smell hasn't come off even with repeated soaking and washing....they claim to be "european grade" silicone so I was expecting them not to smell. I unfortunately can't report on how well they perform because I haven't been able to use them. ... show more

LOVE this silicone mold! I use it for wax melts after seeing all of the beautiful melts coming out from the UK. So thankful we finally have this mold here in the US. Molds were delivered before the expected date. Overall a great product

These were fun to use to make homemade chocolate bars with raisins and nuts added. I do suggest adding some chocolate before adding extras because the chocolate will not fully surround otherwise. Very easy to clean and store.

    • Nice for chocolate bars
I wanted to make chocolate bars. This works. I'd lubricate it though, so that your candy doesn't stick to it. Put the mold in the dishwasher to clean it. I make natural sweets, so they are more sticky. It worked OK for them.
