I’m honestly really impressed with my FIFINE microphone. It exceeded my expectations for the price. The sound quality is super clear and crisp, with very little background noise, which makes it perfect for things like gaming, streaming, recording, or even just talking with friends. It was also really easy to set up, I didn’t have to deal with anything complicated, it basically worked right away which I loved. The build feels sturdy and not cheap at all, and it looks really nice on my setup too. What surprised me the most is how professional it sounds compared to more expensive microphones. Overall, it’s such a great value and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality mic. ... show more

  • Outstanding gear for way less than they should be charging!
Color: Black
I decided to try my hand at streaming again but didn't want to shell out 200$ for equipment again not knowing if I'd stick with it. Did some research, watched some reviews and settled on this one the Fifine AM8. Honestly I did not have super high expectations because it came with a boom arm and the mic for like 60 bucks total? Most sub 100$ mics on amazon just aren't very high quality, but boy was I mistaken with this one. Out of the box this mic was crystal clear with vocal quality and super easy to start using. It didn't come with any proprietary drivers or software which normally some might have issues with but I use OBS and customize the nitty gritty stuff with filters and settings inside of OBS so I wasn't missing anything. It was plug and play which is always appreciated. The cable that came with it was USBC to USBA which I found make the audio a tiny bit crackly, still great quality for discord calls, but when it came to streaming it was a little more than I was hoping for. So I bought a USBC to USBC cable and the fuzziness immediately went away. I would absolutely love to try this with XLR since its also built into the mic, but since I don't have an audio mixer this review is mainly about USBC to USBC. The pop filter is great making P and S sounds less harsh. I found by place the mic right next to my mouth and not in front of it also helped a lot and the sound was able to hit the top of the mic (because its dynamic) with no issue without being too harsh. From the sides and back the mic barely picked anything up (thats what we want to happen) and with simple noise suppression or noise gates that went away completely. The boom arm does not come with a shock mount which honestly would have been amazing. I did notice without all of my filters and audio adjustments in OBS that if I gently tap my desk, the mic pics up the vibration very easily even though its on a boom arm. I couldnt find any shock mounts that fit this either. It would be great to have the option to buy that accessory to complete the entire mic ensemble. Otherwise everything about this mic is fantastic and has far exceeded all of my expectations when it comes to what I was hoping to receive. I am blown away by the quality for the price, my subscribers think the voice quality is extremely clear and easy to understand, so if theyre happy so am I. ------------------------------------------------------------ Update: After about 5 months I ran into an issue where even using USBC i would start getting crackly fuzziness in the mic. The issue followed the mic around so I knew it wasn't any of my settings. It got pretty bad to where it was affecting streams. I contacted the company and they sent me troubleshooting steps on how to resolve the issue, I followed them all and unfortunately the issue did not resolve. Fifine decided it was likely a hardware issue or something faulty with the microphone, asked for my address, and sent me one in 2 days to replace it. The customer service from FIFINE is absolutely outstanding! They not only saved my but on stream by getting a mic to me within my next streams schedule but stayed in contact with me the entire time start to finish making sure I was helped to my satisfaction and that they did everything to assist me in a way that resolved the issue. Fifine is an absolutely amazing company and I will buy stuff from them specifically going forward because a great product + a great price + outstanding customer service area literally everything I look for in companies I buy products from. Super impressed by everything start to finish so far! ... show more

  • Great quality NO XLR CABLE Great quality NO XLR CABLE
Color: Pink
TLDR: if you’re wondering if it comes with a XLR cable, it doesn’t. Sound quality is great. I bought the fifine audio mixer to go with it. First I want to start off with the positives. This mic is easy to set up and is crisp and clean sounding. I did buy the fifine audio mixer to go with it and do run the mic through that via an XLR cable; but even with the default USB plug in to the computer the sound is pretty good especially for the price point. There is a mute button on the mic which is rendered useless by the audio mixer but that’s fine with me as I prefer the mute button on the mixer. The mics built in mute button is touch screen and I was finding myself constantly accidentally muting when I was doing adjustments. There are RGB lights on the mic and they do not distract while playing games which is nice. The arm is sturdier than one I purchased as a stand alone for $20 and feels nicer as well/has better mobility. It isn’t a super fancy mic arm but it’s really good again for the price point. I bought the audio mixer by the same brand and an XLR cable to go along with the mic because I wasn’t sure what the audio was like and wanted something really clean and professional sounding as I am a streamer. When looking through my own reviews of microphones and this one in specific I wanted to know if it came with and XLR cable and it does not which is why I wanted to note it in my own review. I want to clarify that I bought it knowing that it most likely did not as it was not listed on what was in the box or in any of the pictures. The box comes with the arm which is in 2 pieces (the arm itself and the part that attaches the arm to the desk) and the mic itself. I am actually very happy with this microphone quality and the arm. I was actually waiting for my old arm to break but decided to move some stuff around earlier and try out the new one and it feels really smooth to move around which is lovely for me, I can move my mic around without creaking!! Anyway I highly recommend this mic it was easy to set up and sounds great! ... show more

  • Great microphone for the price
Color: White
The microphone arm is nice, it’s very adjustable and gets into many positions. The attachment that clamps the arm to your desk is pretty sturdy, but it does move around if you rotate the mic arm too fast. It’s very easy to use, just plug and play. The microphone quality itself is awesome, sounds like a studio mic. Would recommend for a budget microphone that sounds good. ... show more

  • A great entry level mic for a casual user like myself
Color: Black
I have nothing but good things to say about this microphone. If you don't want to read a long review, the tl;dr: This is a great plug-n-play microphone that has great sound quality and a price that can't be beat. When the pandemic hit in 2020, I started playing online games with friends. When things went back to normal a few years later, we kept playing online as many of us had moved to different areas of the US. During that time, I used a nice set of bluetooth headphones and that was adequate. We mostly played strategy games, board games, or poker games where sound quality didn't matter. In 2024 we hopped on the Helldivers 2 train and the bluetooth headphones just weren't cutting it. To use the microphone with bluetooth, you have to accept the sound changes from full stereo to hands-free mono. For a game like Helldivers 2, that just didn't work. I couldn't hear anything at all. So I decided to invest in a microphone. I know nothing at all about microphones and just wanted something relatively cheap that would work. I did a little research and the main thing people said was to get a "dynamic mic" as opposed to a "condenser mic". Shocker, the dynamic mics are more expensive, often costing $100+. I ended up getting this Fifine, which was significantly cheaper. And to be honest, I wouldn't be able to tell it was a cheap model. The quality of this mic looks really good and feels solid. It uses USB-C which is nice, and even has an XLR jack for the serious audio people (I don't know anything about this -- I just use the USB jack). It is seriously plug-n-play. It took me all of 5 minutes to unbox and get set up at my desk. It just...works. The only additional recommendation I'd make. Even though this is supposed a "dynamic mic" which only picks up sounds right next to the mic, I found this still picked up all my keyboard strokes and could even pick up mouse clicking. The solution to this if you have an Nvidia card is Nvidia Broadcast. It is free and it has some sort of noise filtering that does an excellent job to remove background noise like what I mentioned above. If you need a stand and a mic and don't want to dive down the rabbit-hole of audio equipment, this is probably your best value-to-quality option. It's no nonsense, dead easy to set up, and in conjunction with noise filtering software like Nvidia Broadcast sounds phenomenal. ... show more

  • If you don’t wanna spend ur college funds on a microphone, this one is perfect!
Color: Black
This microphone was a HUGE step up from my laptops microphone, and for the price this was probably my best purchase ever! It does a decent job at isolating background noise, and only sharp noises like keyboard clacking can get through it, white noise and ambiance stands no chance against this mic! This microphone uses usbc, with compatibility for xlr. In the video the microphone is around two inches from my mouth and the gain is turned down abit, if you wanted the settings I had. This microphone is super easy to use, as it has a gain knob on the mic itself. The mic is made out of plastic (decent quality though) and the arm is made out of metal. The arm is not the easiest to move, maybe because I just have it on a wobbly monitor riser, but overall it’s pretty sturdy. To have it be in use by your computer, just go to microphone settings and change it to “fifine microphone”. Overall this microphone is absolutely awesome and I would defenitley reccomend it! (Also sorry for the vtuber model lol I didn’t wanna show my face) ... show more

  • Good enough (or too good) of a mic for pretty much anyone
Color: Black
TLDR: The Fifine AM8 is a fantastic budget competitor to much higher-end mics like the Shure SM7B, while still maintaining aesthetics and quality, but that does come with a few quirks, as expected of the less expensive option. I found out about Fifine through a review of the A8 while looking for a more value-oriented, but still highly performant mic, and although I was impressed with the A8's sound quality, it is a compressor mic, and I quickly realized there is a reason professionals tend to stick closely to dynamic's. Thus, after finding that the same brand had released this mic, a similarly priced, value-oriented dynamic mic that supports XLR, comes with an arm, and can even trade blows with the infamous Shure SM7B ( as seen in video titles like "DO NOT Waste Your Money on The Shure SM7B" on Youtube), I didn't take long at all to place an order. Upon opening the box, I was not disappointed with the aesthetics, as, despite its plastic construction and RGB, it maintains a professional look, and feels solid and hefty in the hand and the stand likewise does not appear flimsy despite its low price. While setting it up, the stand does show its price a bit with its thin, hollow construction, but alas, this is to be expected for the price, and although it is a little short, after set up I have rarely had to think about the stand at all, a sign that it is indeed doing its job perfectly well. The mic, on the other hand, only raises expectations further during setup, with the well-diffused back RGB showing off immediately upon being plugged in, and the capacitive buttons feeling very consistent and responsive. I was also very glad to see that the PC sound passthrough from the headset monitoring port required no setup, started automatically, and sounded indistinguishable from the built-in pc sound. I did however notice a few quirks with this set, such as tapping or hitting the desk sometimes reverberating through the stand and being audible through the mic, the on-mic features (buttons, dials, and RGB,) not functioning without USB C power (such as when using XLR), and the mic reverting to whichever connection method (USB or XLR) was connected first, with no button to switch between the two, and instead having to unplug and plug the mic back in to switch. The sound test was about as I expected from hearing the mic on Youtube, which is fantastic, as the mic does indeed prove itself to be impressively close to mics like the Shure SM7B. With this level of sound quality, if you are, like me, looking for an endgame mic to use for anything from gaming, zoom calls, or even "prosumer" level work like content creation, I see no reason to look for any more than this mic, as the diminishing returns of higher-end mics are simply not worth it for personal use, and 99% of people would not be able to tell the difference between this mic and an actual professional mic (see previously mentioned youtube video). That being said, if audio is your main hobby, or if you would be using this mic professionally, then, and only then you have reason to look further. ... show more

  • Great mic for any streamer starting off.
Color: Black
For the price a great mic. It's clear and sounds great. Has easy set up. Using the app can make it sound even better. The arm is not bad but I recommend updating to the fifine arm or low profile one. What ever fits your style.
