I put this jackplate on my Tracker 1860 with a longtail 40hp Mercury 4 stroke. With it elevated all the way 5-1/2” not actually a 6” lift but it put the cavitation plate exactly where it needed to be with the bottom of the boat. Works excellent for the boat to run in way shallower water. Had a small issue with it and manufacture stood behind their item and replaced a bolt that had broken for free. If your going to fish the Colorado river in Texas you’ll be definitely needing one of these jackplates to run the shallows with. Best purchase made for my boat since buying the boat. The 8” lift wasn’t available when I purchased mine but would definitely buy the 8” over the 6” for the little extra lift. 100% satisfied with the purchase and seller. ... show more

I put this on a 1970 17 ft bay boat that I restored to set the 150 V6 two-stroke back a little so I could set it a little higher to get into skinnier water. I once spent 3 hours bashing into four to six footers that were 4 to 6 ft apart while trying to stay on plane like a total jackwagon and the entire boat was just fine afterwards so this is a stout Jack plate. ... show more

as shown in picture, the part that goes to the motor was off center. Unfortunately, I didn’t taken it apart to dry test before installing the other part to the boat. No way to get a hold of the MFG, but Amazon is making me whole with a replacement.

Works for what I need. Just check all bolts on the plate and make sure they’ve been tightened. The inner bolts on mine were loose when I received the item. But overall great value

When I received this I realized I had ordered the wrong one. I was actually looking for a smaller version. The quality was great however, the customer service was even better. Even though this was my fault and nothing wrong with the product, they were very easy to deal with and understanding. They made a few suggestions and offered a discount on their products however, I decided to just return it even though I would pay for the shipping. Just received my refund.     • Double check bolts!

I read a review and guy said to check the 4 bolts that hole the plate together cuz his was loose, I had to tighten the ones on this plate so be advised check them! Other than that it mounted up fine but doesn’t slide very well, may have to split the two parts and lube the slide part.
