Worth every penny. I've only used the blade for cutting curves, but it's as transformative as everyone claims. These days I think it's pretty incredible to get so many blades for this price. After reading the other reviews discussing the transformative nature of these blades, I decided to bite the bullet and order a set. Yeah...the other reviewers were right. These blades transformed the tool into something that has now become useful for more than just breaking down material. I was super hesitant to spend the money at first. My experience with hand-held jig saws has always been very disappointing and hence, I when I needed blades, I was reluctant to spend the money on more expensive blades when I could be disappointed with the results for much less money. Yeah these blades are the bomb. I have a Dewalt barrel jigsaw and when paired with these blades, it is like I have a whole new tool in my shop. I was making a cabinet for inside a closet that has a thick pile carpet on the floor. I wanted to put a curve between the corners to create 'legs' that would settle into the carpet. I made a template out of 1/4 ply, as I normally do, transferred the cut line to the workpiece and set out to rough out the curve to then be able to pattern rout the final shape. (the piece was way too large to rough cut on the bandsaw) . Normally, I am leaving a good 3/8" from that cut line because a jigsaw is going to tear the living crap out of the plywood. Then I am tossing a 1/2 shank pattern bit into my large router so I can hog out the remaining material and make a final pass. These blades cut a clean, tear-out free cutline in cabinet grade plywood across the grain of the face veneer. I was amazed. I went ahead and finished my cut to ~1/16th to the line, grabbed trim router with a 1/4" pattern bit and got the job done. Super easy. Great cut quality. Worth every penny. (which is what I normally end up saying after I grit my teeth, open my wallet, and buy a Festool product. I just wish there was an American 🇺🇸 company that could produce the quality of tools that Festool delivers) ... show more

    • Expensive, but thick and the bit I needed didn’t deflect in 2” walnut
The headline says it all I think. I purchased due to crappy dewalt bits deflecting and destroying my counter top (luckily I purchased more raw slab than I needed and tested first). These blades kept things straight or at least straight enough (top to bottom with little to no blade deflection) when I was doing some of my cuts (the inner concave radius as opposed to corner convex radius was a big one) as well as some straight cuts I couldn’t use my saw on. I might not have purchased if I’d been able to find a concave jig, but in the end I’m glad I did because these blades are just better in every way, at least compared to dewalt, which is junk next to these. ... show more

I've had a Dewalt jigsaw for a couple of decades that is still working fine, but the cut quality was always so-so at best and it didn't produce a square cut no matter what I tried. The Festool jigsaw with these blades produces a pretty smooth and square cut. More expensive, sure. But in the long run I think it's worth it. ... show more
