  • What a surprise!! Outstanding!
Color: Sunburst
Wow.. What a great guitar. I have a stable of over 30 guitars, PRS, Fender, Ibanez, Gibson, Yamaha, Jackson and one other Fesley. The first Fesley was a FLP350, I was happy with it and bought the FLP900. I am totally impressed. I love the neck carves for the upper frets, the belly cut, the pickups sound great for the music I play, TOOL, Perfect Circle, Porcupine Tree... I couldn't be happier. I initially did a setup, adjusted the truss rod to get the neck a little straighter, adjusted the pickup heights a bit, took some green pad to the back of the neck to make it slippery and all good. It stays in tune pretty good, the pegs are smooth, and it looks GREAT! Sunburst with a flawless finish. Yeah it's a little heavy, but what LP isn't? Sustain forever! The strings aren't the worst I played on, maybe some NYXLs soon.. I never thought a inexpensive guitar could be this good. How about a adding a Floyd Rose to a model?? I love a Floyd.. I may get some locking tuners in the future. This is NOT a cheap guitar, just affordable. Very happy!! Well done Fesley!! I'll be back! ... show more

  • Well worth it! Incredible for the price.
For the price, it is well worth it. I don't absolutely need another guitar per se, but this guitar has some features I have always wanted, but are difficult and expensive to find. In fact I was considering a doing my own custom build just to get these 3 features in a LP style: 1) Neck through build, 2) contoured access to upper frets, and 3) belly cut like a strat. Additionally, the body is mohagany. The guitar has weight, feels like a guitar, not a cheap toy. Doesn't look like one either. Of course they have to save some money somewhere, so the electronics aren't going to be top notch. Nevermind the fact that the entire guitar costs about the same as -one- Bare Knuckle pickup. Just being usable at this price is crazy, and the fact that it is comfortable and playable strait out of the box? How do they do it? Fret ends are smooth, there is absolutely zero fret sprout, no cracks in the finish along the joints, finish is perfect, and it looks nice too. I only recieved it today, so I can't tell you about tuning stability, that will take a few days, but I think there might be 2 sticky slots on the nut, easy fix. Nut appears to be bone and not cheap plastic so, a shot of lube should fix it 100%. If it was plastic I would prob replace it. The controls are surprisingly useful. Most of the time my guitars have tone control at 0 or 10, but this one is useful for mid-taper. What do I not like? First of all I have to qualify my critique. The guitar is absolutely a great deal and I have no complaints. This guitar is well worth the price. Heres what you get that isn't pro, which you should not be expecting (and won't find) at this price point anyway: The sound is great for jazz/blues/country/soft rock/indie, but for hard rock/metal (ie bridge pickup only) you will need a stompbox to get the edgy-ness you want. Obv you will be using FX anyway right? The toggle switch needed tightening, and personally I don't like the green faux vintage tuner knobs, but that is a purely cosmetic thing, nothing actually wrong with it. The frets are nickel steel. I prefer stainless, but I'm not sure I can find SS frets on a $200 guitar, and even if I did, it wouldn't have the other features this Fesley has. I will do a pro setup on it later, and probably some upgrades. Like I said, it is great out of the box and doesn't need anything, but if I want to upgrade things like pickups, tuners, pots and tone caps, this guitar is a worthy recipient of them. I wouldn't be throwing my money away if I put a set of JB's in it. Bottom line, if someone has complaints about shortcomings of this Fesley for $200, then they should probably not be playing guitar. Personally, I am thinking seriously about buying a second one, and there is a pretty good chance I will do my first guitar review video on this one. Update: I did in fact purchase a second one. Even if I replaced every single component in this guitar, it would still be worth it just for the neck & body. Don't listen to other complaints about hardware. If you want a good playable guitar, this is it. It is good out of the box, and if you upgrade or replace hardware later, you will not be wasting your money. #icanstopbuyingguitarsanytimeIwant. #ijustdontwantto ... show more

  • Nice but Heavy. Newer side comfort for higher on fretboard is great.
Looks Great, fantastic chunky neck, great for bends, sounds more than decent for price, is tuneable with strings it came with it, tuners feel O.k. for price, Came with low action, I tune a half step down because I am older. In early 80s got a black gold hardware used les paul Gibson. Changed out tuners for new grovers over$100.00. still would still NOT stay in tune. Sold the next day. Learned 10 years later on my Gibson 60s s.g . TO put a Gibson Nashville bridge cost $35.00 had previously changed tuners to grovers. Stayed in tune so much better after bridge replacement. The big Gibson Silence. Now this Guitar The bridge volume does not turn completely down only half way. It must internal. Not a big deal. Knobs are nice but do not come off, appears they are metal. Now this bad for me but may be good if Your Younger or stronger. Said on you tube weighs less than 9 pounds. Read a review said 10 pounds. Family member went on scale holding it Got 13 and a half pounds. Planning on sitting with it but its heavy to lift it and I got some back back pain from lifting, so will return it. I would been happy if had this weight decades ago. Also, came with gig bag But this one I got Was heavy. ned tuners to grovwes ... show more
