They do what they're supposed to do. There's about ½ inch wiggle room to fit it on the pipe.

    • Sizing Nightmare!
When a product says 2" to 3" coupler, any logical person would assume that the ID on one end is 2" and the other end has a 3 " ID. WRONG! This coupler is 3.5" ID on one end and 2.25"ID on the other end. When a company sells on Amazon they should realize that the majority of their customers will not be professional plumbers or pipefitters who are familiar with the wide variety of pipe sizes, all differing with the material the pipe is made of. Those guys know where to get these coupling locally..... at their neighborhood plumbing jobber! It would simplify selection and satisfy more customers if these couplers were sold by actual ID dimensions and not some vague reference to pipe sizes which differ greatly according to material. Now I have to jerry-rig something to make these couplings that I bought work, so that they will fit my project. Coupling is well made and the price was right; just POOR marketing of a good product. ... show more

    • Connects my dust collector to my vacuum
I saw a tip about using this over rigid pipe that may not be the exact size to fit onto the dust collector of my Ridgid table saw. It fit nice and snug over the 4" dust collector port and I bought an extra vacuum hose to go into my shop vac that I leave connected to the other end - nice and simple.
