  • Perfect design
I love its design and side pockets for two 16 oz water bottles outside. The only con is the length of the side pockets. I love everything about this bag for my 12 year old son.

  • Nicely designed travel backpack
My messenger bag has finally given up the ghost after years of service. I needed a bag I could use traveling that would fit under the seat in front of me, hold my laptop, charging cables, power brick, reading material, meds, some socks, underwear, and toiletries (should my checked bag not arrive at my destination with me!), etc. This one appears to be able to handle all those things as it has pockets galore. I did a test pack after it arrived. Loaded up, I slung it on my back and walked around the block a couple of times. It was very comfortable (not spots digging into my back or shoulders). The straps are padded (they could perhaps use a tad more padding but I am not going to use this as a hiking pack so it should be fine). The outer surface is vegan leather (that is, a faux leather product made of plastic but it looks good -- at least new!). One caution -- with so many pockets and the ability to expand the bag's thickness by several inches, it could become too fat to fit under the seat in an airplane. A feature I like is that I can put my power pack in a pocket in the backpack and run a cable out so that I can charge my phone in my hand. I take a lot of travel pics and I always worry the battery will die before we get back to our room to plug it in to recharge. This will ensure I don't need to worry about that. Once at my destination, I can empty what I don't need for the day and use it as a day pack. The zippers are well-constructed and have big pulls. I am wondering how well it will withstand efforts by pickpockets to open the pack up from behind me while standing on a bus or subway train. The zippers seem easy to open and I might not notice. I may need to swing it around to the front when in a location where pickpockets seem likely to operate. I was pleased to discover a relatively hidden pocket near the bottom next to the back where I could stash things like my passport and not worry someone will be able to take it unnoticed. Any dislikes? So far the only thing I am not a fan of is the handle. It is a fake rubber handle. Other products I have had which had similar handles began to break down from the acidic oils in my skin so that they became sticky and unpleasant to touch. I am trying to determine if there is some sort of waxy coating I can put on it to prevent that yet not make it slippery to hold. With that in mind, I will probably lift it by the straps rather than the handle. ... show more

  • A really good backpack with noisy zipper pulls
The media could not be loaded. After using this backpack for around a week, I've really grown to like it. Stitching is great and it arrived in good condition. It's one of the few backpacks that actually fit a thick 17inch Dell Precision well without the zippers getting worn out as they hit the corners of the laptop when closing the zipper (the failure point on my last backpack). It can easily fit another laptop and my S8 Ultra Tab in the main pocket as well. These pockets open all the way, the zippers go all the way around the bottom of the bag, so this would work well for TSA checkpoints if they're one of the ones that'll let you lay the bag flat. Wearing it, even with the heavy stuff I usually carry, is comfortable. There's a cross strap I can buckle if I want to make it easier on my shoulders and move more of the load to my chest. In terms of pockets, there's a good selection. We have a hidden pocket against the mesh padding, the laptop sleeve section with sections for a tablet, the main pocket for assorted items, a top back pocket for pencils etc and then a bottom back pocket with a lot of assorted sections to put stuff in. There's a zipper that'll let the backpack expand if you need the extra space as well. The two drink holders on the side of the backpack can be unzipped to accommodate larger bottles, but also zipped back up to make them go back up against the sides of the bag. Zippers overall were great, they didn't stick and they felt good to use. If this backpack had one flaw though, it would be the noise the zipper pulls make. Don't get me wrong, the zippers are great and the pulls are great, especially with holes big enough if you wanted to put a lock through them. However, it sounds like you have a very faint bell attached to you at times. The zipper pulls will clink against the zipper as you walk. It's not noticeable outside, but you can really hear it indoors. I included a quick video of me picking up the bag and moving it around a bit so you can be the judge for yourself. Not a deal-breaker and I'm planning on continuing to use it because I think it's a good backpack in other respects. I think I could probably resolve the issue if I buy some fabric pulls that'll dampen the noise a bit. Materials feel great, bag feels well designed, and there's a lot of great features going for this bag. If you don't mind the zippers clinking, I'd recommend it! ... show more

  • Super impressive
I got to say this backpack is almost perfect just what I was looking for. I took one star off because the internal charging port is a USB. They should really upgrade to USBC that would have brought the backpack up to two extra Stars. Plenty of pockets. Plenty of space. Very well made overall. Really impressed. Highly recommended ... show more
