These Waterproof Wide Hiking Boots are comfortable to wear, but for me not so comfortable for all-day wear or hiking. The soles are plastic-like with a bit of a rubber on them and make for a pretty hard step. They will definitely need gel insoles, at least for me. I also find that the boots have a fairly high 'positive heel,' which means that the heel is higher than the ball of the foot. This can put some added stress on knees. All this aside, they are still very well made shoes and my feet feel comfortable in them. I especially appreciate the wider size although they are not especially wide. These boots are true to their description. I went hiking and it started to pour rain. The only thing on my husband that stayed completely dry was his feet as we had hiked through muddy and rocky terrain. Great support and really comfortable. He has wide feet and these fit perfect without looking like a big box toe shoe. The boots are versatile and highly functional, my husband even used them for work and they are holding up better than I expected. These boots are better than some high end brands for a fraction of the price. Great option for boots at this price range. More color options would be nice but the black ones I ordered look stylish without compromising comfort. We highly recommend for the value and quality! ... show more
