  • Total Fake, and a bad one at that.
Size: Stratocaster - 11 Hole (Modern) Color: White Moto
Received what was supposed to be a genuine Fender White Moto stratocaster pickguard. It came in a ziplock bag with no Fender packaging (could overlook that), the pickguard is also missing any Fender product sticker found on other Fender branded OEM pickguards. The shielding appears to be metal duct tape cut with scissors, and applied rather crudely. The shielding also is FAR from what Fender applies. On top of all this, the thing has been used. There are clear indications volume/tone pots were mounted to this guard with discoloration (this isn't supposed to be the "aged" color, and the aging, if factory would be consistent under the knobs) and scratching. The only remaining plastic protective layer on the guard are the little circles that would be left under the vol/tone knobs if it were removed from a built guitar. Total scam. ... show more

  • Remove the clear plastic film!
Size: Stratocaster - 11 Hole (Modern) Color: Black
It's amazing how many people have knocked this product because of "scratches", and the buyer who returned two perfectly-fine pickguards because they didn't remove the protective film. Come on, people. In the time you spent ranting about scratches and comparing it to something found in a dumpster, you could have examined the product more closely. I used this replacement pickguard to give new life to my first guitar from the mid 90s (turned it all black), and it looks like a whole new instrument. The only nitpick is that a couple of screw holes were ever-so-slightly misaligned on mine, but nothing that required drilling new holes. ... show more

  • Nice quality pickguard, looks very sharp - used to upgrade Indio HSS Strat
Size: Stratocaster HSS3 - 11 Hole Color: Black
I bought this pickguard for a HSS Indio classic off-brand Strat for a couple of reasons. I upgraded to an Obsidian solderless wiring kit, and the knobs did not fit the stock Indio pickguard. Secondly, the Fender pickguard is well-made - it's 3-ply and has shielding installed across the entire inner portion of the pickguard, unlike the Squier/Indio pickguards that have very little shielding tape on them. For those who might purchase one of these to upgrade their HSS Indio guitars (especially if you decide to buy an Obsidian for it), a couple of notes. The rear of the pickguard that fits underneath the neck will need to be dremel'ed in order to fit properly, otherwise it'll overlap the trem and not sit flush on the guitar body. Shave about 1/8" off material off the neck edge of the pickguard, or use a trial & error method to get it to fit. Once it clears the tremolo, most of the pickguard screw holes will not line up (some will though). Simply screw down the holes that line up and use a small drill bit to take care of the rest. The Obsidian solderless wiring kit will NOT line up with the tone/volume knob holes in the Indio stock pickguard, but it lines up perfectly with this Fender pickguard. Overall an easy install and looks sharp on my cheap-o Indio HSS Strat. ... show more

  • Easy way to snazz up your Stratocaster
Size: Stratocaster - 11 Hole (Modern) Color: Aged White Moto
I love my guitars and wanted to snaz up my Stratocaster with a nice, new pick guard. I found this one on Amazon and it arrived a few days later. Install is easy but take care when transferring the electronics from the old pick guard to the new one b/c solder points may not take too well to the stress if you're careless. (e.g., become disconnected.) New versions of guitar electronics are plug and play and parts can simply plug together. It's a great advancement. Anyhow, there are videos on Youtube about how to change your pick guard out so have a look there before proceeding so you're knowledgeable. Good luck and play every day! ... show more

  • Perfect fit. 5 stars
Size: Stratocaster - 11 Hole (Modern) Color: Black
Bought a MIM Stratocaster (which I love by the way) that came with a white pickguard and accessrories. I wanted to change it out to black so I bought this pickguard and the accessories kit that comes with the back plate, knobs, etc. The pickguard I got is a black/white/black 3-ply. This worked perfectly. It shipped fast, came well protected, and fit perfectly. Love the look of my strat with the black. Now I'm actually thinking of trying the perloid black someday. ... show more

  • Gorgeous Quality and Terrible Sound
Size: Stratocaster - 11 Hole (Modern) Color: Anodized
I got this for my Fender American Special Stratocaster, I wanted to make it look a bit more elegant. And it did. But unfortunately it killed the tone of the guitar. Because it's a big chunk of aluminum, it killed all the high frequencies, making the Strat not sound like a Strat anymore. I guess if you've got a horribly bright guitar this would work great, but on a typical guitar it just kills the highs and makes it sound bad. That all being said, it does look good and the quality was top-notch. Plus all the screw holes lined up. ... show more

  • I am becoming increasingly dissatisfied with fender accessories
Size: Stratocaster - 11 Hole (Modern) Color: Black
I do not know what is wrong with fender accessories. I always find them to be an adequate. I own an American standard Stratocaster. The quality of their guitars are excellent. But whenever I buy a fender accessory there's always a problem or it's flimsy or scratched or just poor quality. This arrived scratched up to hell. I understand it's a pickguard but at least give me the opportunity to scratch it myself. Pull your socks up fender. ... show more

  • Good Looking, Well Made Strat PIckguard
Size: Stratocaster - 11 Hole (Modern) Color: Tortoise Shell
A while back I ordered a less expensive "tortoise" pickguard for one of my Stratocasters. The pattern looked very un-tortoise like, which I found to be ugly and never used it. When I ordered this one, I hoped it would have that dark tortoise shell look shown in the photo. Sometimes what's shown in a seller's photo looks quite different than the actual product. Happily, it was pretty much a clone of the photo's pickguard and I love it. Another happy note: This Fender PIckguard is fairly thick, so it's less apt to warp over the years. It also fit perfectly on my Made in Mexico Strat. ... show more
