I picked these string trees up to replace the cheap roller trees I previously put on my Strat, and I'm thrilled with them! The chrome plating is excellent. They look high quality and have a bit of heft to them for their size. They didn't seem to add any friction to the strings vs the rolling trees, and I've had no tuning issues making the swap. They are also super easy to install, so they are a great upgrade even for beginners. Plus, they'd look equally at home on a vintage style or modern style Strat. These replaced a set of the crimped sheet metal versions. These are much stronger and their smooth lower slide surface provides much less resistance to string movement that the original set. I'm very pleased with their ease of installation, look and function!

I used these to upgrade the guides on my daughter's Fender and Squier strats. You have to be careful about the string height difference wrt the nut. You may or may not want to use both of these. That said, they look great... much better than the stock ones.

I recently replaced a lot of chrome parts on my strat that had rusted, and I hated the appearance. Not only do these look way better than the 'sheet metal' string tree guides that came on my guitar, but they are super smooth on the underside, and I'm noticing tuning stability is way better.

These seem to be way nicer than the bent metal stock ones. They do however, rotate along with the screw and don’t seem to rotate freely like the standard ones. At full tightness of the screw, it was not lined up with the strings so I had to back it off a bit but it’s not going anywhere so not a big deal really. Not as good as roller type but much nicer looking than any other string tree I’ve tried. ... show more

Needed these on my Squier Starcaster because there was some buzzing after the set up. Attached one of these on the headstock and bam! Fixed it! These are made pretty good too. Honestly becoming a fan of fender more and more.
