You get everything you need except a tuner (picked one up for $12) I recomend you get one. the 3 month free lesson is a nice bonus. This guitar package was reommended and the quality is seen and felt also the packaging was excellent.

    • Good for a beginner
Being a beginner electric guitarist means I have essentially little to no knowledge about what's good, bad or indifferent. So I asked a friend who is an accomplished guitarist/bassist what he thought of the setup and he was impressed. There is a little bit of fret sprout but not enough that it is detrimental to a beginner and I'm told fixable if I want to. Otherwise the build quality (based on external appearance only) is pretty good. I haven't opened it up to see the quality of electronics, soldering etc but it sounds good. I would say the only downside is that even without using the whammy bar, it wanders out of tune much easier than my acoustic and spanish guitars (and I'm nowhere near seriously bending notes yet). This is my first electric guitar so I'm not sure if this is normal or not. The 15g Frontman amp is good for various clean tones as a practice amp but if you want any distortion at all or reverb, you're going to have to buy additional hardware. I guess my only frustration is with the vendor in that the package is promoted as having free online lessons but the link on the coupon the vendor supplies with the package (fender.com/ab) is dead. When I contacted them about it, they simply said to use the normally available free two weeks that Fender will give you if you sign up to them at fender.com/play. Not a biggie but misleading in my mind...a bit of "bait and switch". ... show more

Initially, order received w/o cable and gig package. Contacted seller, and quickly they sent them in a separate package. Good customer service. This is a beginners package, do not expect much from the amp, but still rather good value for the money spent.

You get everything you need to start playing, comes with a good starter amp, picks, a guitar strap. It would be good to get a tuner if you don’t already have one. The case is nice if you don’t have one but I would highly recommend getting a hard case if you can afford it, the soft one really just protects it from scratches. The guitar and amp were well matched. Obviously good guitar. I ended up ordering another like the port were a little loose and I didn’t know how to handle that so my other one is go in the shop but that’s probably because I didn’t know what I was doing.
