Replaced the 50 year old ones on a 1968 Fender Bassman-Amp. Yes it does look better since the old ones have a lot of history and show it. One thing, the skirt at the widest part of the base is very thin compared to vintage so once installed they sit a little higher off the face plate. On the vintage the underside of the knob is recessed 110 thousandths to hide the nut that mounts the potentiometer. These have a recess but it's only about 67 thousandths , and it varies from one to the other. The vintage knobs with 110 mils recess and the thicker skirt sit much closer to the faceplate and hide the potentiometer mounting nut. The mounting nut is a flat blade screw, not an allen as in the vintage but it is located at the "1" position as in the vintage. ... show more
