The edges are a bit sharp on the back and could see it digging into your guitars finish but a bit of fine sandpaper took care of this. The color is more of a champagne than gold. I have seen some aftermarket anodized pick guards that lean more to the orangey yellow gold but this one is very subtle.     • I'm sure it's a good product but
I'm sure it's a good product but.. I got it for my 1989 MIK Squier II Stratocaster and unfortunately it did not fit. I figured it would be primarily for Fender Stratocasters but I thought I would go ahead and try it out. Sadly the neck cutout was way too small for my neck heel to even fit. I guess a Fender Strat has a much slimmer neck then the Squier Strat I own. Also the screw holes did not line up with the holes in my guitar body. This was my first time to ever buy a gold pickguard and I wasn't aware that "Anodized" was a hint towards it being made out of metal and not plastic. The description of the pickguard didn't mention it being metal so I just assumed it was plastic like most pickguards (Not really a problem with it I just wasn't aware). But over all it looked great!! And I'm sure it fits a Fender perfectly! I just wish it would of worked with my Stratocaster. /: ... show more

    • Gorgeous Quality and Terrible Sound
I got this for my Fender American Special Stratocaster, I wanted to make it look a bit more elegant. And it did. But unfortunately it killed the tone of the guitar. Because it's a big chunk of aluminum, it killed all the high frequencies, making the Strat not sound like a Strat anymore. I guess if you've got a horribly bright guitar this would work great, but on a typical guitar it just kills the highs and makes it sound bad.
