Here’s the thing, a lot of these reviews talk about the guitar being damaged, the bridge being split, the guitar out of tune, etc. The guitar is going to be out of tune slightly, that’s a given. They send you a tuner so it’s not a huge issue at all - my guitar came out looking beautiful in my opinion, it fits inside the gig bag, and the sound is impeccable for a beginners guitar. The look, feel, and sound of this guitar is better than some of the higher end guitars my buddies use. The strings are perfect distance from the neck that it doesn’t take a whole lot of pressure to press down. The only thing I personally recommend you purchase along with this is a capo as it doesn’t come with one. Other than that I absolutely love my new guitar. Fender gives you 3 free months worth of lessons so that if you’re new or even just need a refresher or want to learn a new play style you can. The delivery was WAY sooner than expected - I just got the normal free shipping expecting it to take 5-7 days after it processed and was shipped out but instead I got mine 1 day and a wake up after it shipped. I teach guitar to high school students that go to my church and have found this model of Fender guitar to be a very good beginner guitar that notes out nicely and has a reasonably good sound for something so inexpensive. I have bought several of them to use with students who do not have guitars and will continue to pick one up now and then as I need extras. This is the first time I have gotten the black Fender. My others have all had a natural wood grain top. This one certainly does show dirt a lot worse but the kids seem to like the color. As one might expect, the gig bag is a little bit on the cheap side but it does cover the guitar and allow it to be stored in the closet from week to week. I actually liked the tuner that they sent with it. It seems to work very well and I have put it in my own guitar case just to use at. any time. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We ordered this for our 13 yr old grandson’s birthday. The first one came busted up. Thankfully my husband opened it to tune it for him b4 his party. We had time to return it and get a replacement. It’s a beautiful guitar. Has a really nice sound.

Bought this Fender guitar in late Nov 2019. Been having trouble tuning it so thought it was the tuner. Bought a new tuner, then sent it back because it would not tune the guitar. Bought a nice, Boss tuner, but the guitar was still not in tune, Broke a string trying to tune it today, because the 6th, fattest string would not stay in tune. As we were trying to change the string, noticed the bridge is cracked all the way across, where the pins are, see picture. Took the pin out, to change the string and then saw the crack. This happened today and conveniently the deadline for returning this piece of crap was today. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, this guitar is garbage! ... show more

Okay so I really really wanted this guitar to work out. I was so very excited. All in all this would have been an amazing kit if the following things didn't happen. One of the pegs came broken which is kind of crappy. The other thing is because of the black finish you can see all the scratches that the guitar already came with. I tried to take a picture to show you. Aside from that the sound is really great but what good is it if it could tar seems old already because it's scratched up and has a broken Peg. The tuner that it came with was pretty amazing. But the gig bag that says it's padded is pay person. Kind of disappointing. Also shows that it comes with pics however I did not receive those. I am going to reorder it though and hopefully the second one comes better than this one. ... show more

I am a beginner guitar player and love both the look (all black) and feel of this Fender FA-115 Dreadnought Guitar. I received this guitar a few days ago and I have started taking online lessons. The guitar body is so nice that I decided to purchase a Fender hard case to help protect it from possible future damage. The soft cover that came with this guitar is fine but, in my opinion, it would not prevent scratches and dings should the guitar get jostled around in transportation. The only negative (but totally expected) is that some tuning will be needed to achieve the correct pitch. Bottom line, if you are looking for a great name guitar manufacturer (Fender), and a great looking guitar at an affordable price, I highly recommend you purchase this guitar. ... show more

I rated high stars for everything, but maybe take sound quality with a grain of salt as I am a true beginner, but it does sound good to me. I am confident in other aspects of my rating though. The bundle I purchased was not overly expensive and the guitar seems nice and something I will be proud to play for years to come. There is more to the value than just the instrument though. I am probably one of the most green beginners ever but the seller has some great videos. I have learned a lot in a short period thanks to that. The bundle came with a clip on tuner that seems to work well, and a trial to Fender play; I haven't started my trial yet thanks to what I have learned from seller videos. All-in-all this was a great bundle from a great seller. I look forward to learning more and spending many hours practicing so that I may not be a beginner someday. ... show more
