The case feels basically invincible, and the guitar is so nice! The mahogany finish on the model I got is really nice and the neck is smooth. The string action is perfect (not too high or too low), and the sound is nice and loud. Imo I think this could serve well beyond just a beginner's guitar. The 3 picks it comes with are medium thickness, an all-around good place to start. It comes with an extra set of strings, and the ones already on the guitar feel nice. Surprisingly, after tuning, it held it quite well! Would def recommend this to anyone. However, keep in mind it has a "dreadnought" body, so the body is slightly bigger than some other guitars. If you want a quieter or smaller guitar, maybe select a different model. But for me this guitar is perfect! 👌

I felt like a child on Christmas when this kit arrived. The case came in excellent condition, beautiful inside and out. The guitar itself took my breath away. I loved the rich mahogany color and high gloss sheen. The inlay around the opening is gorgeous as well. After about 5 minutes of tuning, it was ready to play. I had been playing a Jasmine S35, and was pleasantly surprised at how well this Fender plays. Each note has creates a sweet, resonating sound. I was expecting to get the Fender 80/20 light strings, instead it came with Martin SP 80/20 light strings. No complaints, I prefer the Martin's anyway. The one thing I did not particularly care for was the tuner. I was previously using a Snark tuner. It was easy to use, it told you what note you were playing and if it was sharp or flat on one simple screen. The tuner included with this kit does the same, but there are three lights; flat, note, sharp. When the note is on key, the lights turn green. When it is either flat or sharp the lights are red. I just prefer the simplicity of the Snark model. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. A great deal. I would recommend this kit to my family and friends.

I have been playing guitar since the early 1970's. I ordered this guitar package for my grand daughter for Christmas but it didn't get here in time so I gave her one of mine, she was very happy with that. So when this came I carefully unpacked it with the idea that I was going to send it back. So I tuned it up and installed an old DeArmond pickup and plugged it in. It blew my mind, the sound was great and the action was super fast and easy to play. I normally play my old 1972 Guild, I can honestly say this guitar played as easy and sounded as good as the Guild (that was not easy for me to say) and for this price which included a hard case tuner and strings , it is just an unbelievable deal. If anything changes I will do an update, for now I am very happy with this guitar and strongly recommend it. I would like to know what strings came on the guitar, they appear to be very light but I do not know what brand they are. (who ever set this guitar up knew what they were doing, the action was perfect)

Beautiful guitar (mahogany finish). Blemish free. Action very close, plays like an electric with the supplied strings. I had an issue where high E was dead on first fret and a couple other strings buzzed horribly during simple chording. Called customer service - super friendly and helpful but limited in what they could do over the phone. They were super helpful offering to help me with a return/replacement. Turns out I didn't need a return, I have a friend with a tool that measures curve in the neck. 1/4 to 1/2 turn on the truss rod has this guitar playing beautifully. Rich, clean sound, and quite a deal for the money. I came to post the good review for the customer service though - they were ready to swap the guitar to make me happy. For those negative on the clamp on tuner - you have to choose "G" for guitar and actually clamp it on - it works fine.

I have ten other guitars, most of which are very valuable. I play, but enjoy collecting more. I saw this Fender and knew it was a great deal, but still wondered how good it might really be at the price offered. When it came in, I was stunned. The mahogany was without blemish and did not have the darkish vertical lines shown in the photo. It appears to be old growth, and I realized the camera was doing what cameras do; it was emphasizing the darker lines within the wood. I checked it closely from top to bottom, inside and out, and found not a single flaw. The tone was rich, but classically a very bit tinny with the new strings. From long experience, I know this will mellow within a few weeks, and if not, can be fixed with some new heavier strings. All in all, I am very happy with the purchase. For $300 I got a $700 - $1000 guitar. It was black Friday after all, so it did not surprise me. (I bought my first good guitar over forty years ago. A Takamine accoustic-electric, which were all the rage than. The tone on that machine was amazing. The more I played the richer the tone got. I finally gave it to my grandson who was then learning to play. I paid $400 for it new.) I am very happy with this purchase. I used Prime, so the instrument arrived right on time without shipping charges.

I purchased this guitar for my 16 year-old daughter as a gift. Being a guitar player myself, I wanted to get her a guitar that played nicely and sounded really good. Having many guitars over the course of my life, I believe it is important for a beginner to learn on a quality instrument that plays and sounds nicely - there is nothing worse than trying to learn on a cheap instrument that does not perform to a decent standard. The Fender brand has surely proven the test of time and I personally have never played/owned a Fender that didn't feel well-built and produce beautiful sounds, however I had never played or owned a Fender acoustic (only electric models). After reading a number of positive reviews for this model on various websites, I decided to take a chance. This guitar truly stood up to the Fender name. Beautiful action, great sound and a stunning finish (the darker wood is gorgeous and unique at this price point). Even though I purchased this for my daughter as an intermediate-level guitar (intending to buy her something much more expensive down the road), I do not see a need to upgrade and neither does she. Truly a great value, you will not be disappointed.

I was looking for a quality acoustic guitar that was priced below $500.00. After reading the reviews on this Fender Dreadnought and looking at local music stores for a similar instrument, I ordered this from Amazon. I am just learning to play.....again....after trying years ago, and the size, sound and quality is better than I expected after looking at comparable guitars that ranged in price from $600.00 to $1000.00 or more. The guitar is solid, flawless and well built with a beautiful finish. I could not find a thing wrong with it when it arrived securely protected and packaged. The included guitar case is very heavy duty and well constructed. This in my opinion, is well worth buying for a beginner or an experienced player. The extra items included are a bonus, especially the electronic tuner. I did order a quality (Hercules Guitar Stand) to hang it in the open out of the storage case to keep it up off the floor when not in use. I would highly recommend this guitar package.

Ive been playing for about 17 years now, and am normally skeptical of a purchase at this price point but I needed a new campfire guitar and the reviews seemed really nice. Aside from that id never owned a mahogany body. The case that came with it is fantastic!!!! Not fender branded case though, but still a genuinely good quality hardshell case. The guitar itself is one of the best playing guitars ive ever had after some very minor setup (in this case 1 dead fret at number 14 truss rod adjustment and I had to scrub down some sharp fret ends). This guy sounds incredible, and everything seems to be solid, neck shows no evidence of a scarf joint at the neck tuners are perfect, nut and saddle material are synthetic Bone. this is a fantastic buy and I would recommend for anywhere from beginner to intermediate. 10/10
