This model makes use of the same slim-taper, easy-to-play neck profile found on all Classic Design guitars. Its solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides complement the concert-sized body for a smooth and articulate low end. The perfect companion for an 'unplugged' session, the CB-60SCE comes equipped with a flexible Fishman electronics system that's well-suited to the stage or studio.

Swift delivery. I checked it out top to bottom for defects and couldn’t find any. The tuners stay in tune. The neck needs no adjustment. It sounds as well as expected. I’m away from home so there’s no amp to try plugging it in. Built-in tuner is a nice feature. I saw one complaint about the Fender sticker on the pick guard and how hard it was to take off. It’s actually attached to a peel off clear coating that’s hard to detect, but it’s there and comes off. Overall I am very happy with the Bass. The only changes I plan to make at this point are to maybe lower the action just a hair and put on flats. ... show more

I'm a beginner bassist but not new to instruments. Nice to have the acoustic option for practice and solo playing as well as being able to plug in to an amp. I've been impressed with the quality of this instrument. Love the built-in tuner and happy that this bass stays pretty well in tune between playings. Lowest notes buzz a little but that can be adjusted with the action, I just haven't got around to doing it yet. Overall pleased with it. ... show more

ErAs others have said, if you are a seasoned play, or want to learn bass, you CANNOT go wrong with this model. Arrived in excellent setup, no fret buzz, low action, in 4 months I haven’t even changed the strings! Incredible to grab, sit on couch. It’s a semi-acoustic with a tuner, plug into amp…amazing! Has Fishman electronics, Bass & Treble EQ. My friends were amazed by this. We jammed with acoustics outside and loved it. I’ve been playing for over 35 years and this may be one of the best instrument buys I’ve had. An absolute no-brainer for the price. Thank you all at Fender. After looking around at multiple guitar stores for a beginner acoustic bass I settled on the Fender CB-60SCE. None of the local music stores had it in stock and I was leery of ordering a string instrument online and having it shipped only to have it arrive and be beyond my beginner to setup properly. Having ordered it, I must say that I am happy how it was shipped, and it even came ready to play! A simple tune and I was strumming away.
