Description

The American Professional II Stratocaster is a popular choice for musicians looking for a guitar with a comfortable feel and easy access to the upper register. Focused on providing comfort, the Strat features a rounded neck heel and beveled neck-plate that improve access to the upper register to make leads easier and more comfortable. The Deep “C” neck profile offers a natural feel that’s made for chording and single note playing. New V-Mod II Stratocaster single-coil pickups provide articulate tones with bell-like chime and warmth, while an upgraded 2-point tremolo with a cold-rolled steel block increases sustain and clarity. A performance-friendly design feature adds two unique pickup configurations not typically found on a Stratocaster. Located on the second tone control, the push-push switch triggers the neck pickup in switch positions one and two. The American Professional II Stratocaster is designed to meet the needs of modern players with a surplus of user-centric features.

  • Poor quality control…..
Color: 3-color Sunburst Size: Large
Let me be clear….this is an excellent guitar on its own. The case is also excellent. I have a 1 star rating because Fender quality control did not catch a painfully obvious issue. The bridge pickup had no control over its output with the volume pot. How do you not test that at final inspection? How I ask? That is one of the most basic and important qualities of an electric guitar - yet all names and signed off on the mfg traveler ticket. Honestly that is simply unacceptable. As it turns out, there where other loading issues and of course the pickups were not represented in all their glory. I did email customer support and to their credit they responded in under 24 hours…but to drive to a local service center and then listen to the nonsense back and forth….I decided to fix it myself. Turns out the volume pot wiper lug was incorrectly wired and 2 wires were swapped. I did a temp cut, twist, tape fix swap of the 2 wires and that solved all the issues….not a big deal….and miswires happen but there is no way this guitar should have left the factory. Now that it is working properly, it sounds great..it played great from day 1. Fender quality control is dubious! ... show more

  • I bought this in "Used - Like New" condition. I should have known the price was too good to be true.
Color: Miami Blue Size: Large
Upon opening the case, I immediately noticed that the truss rod plug was not flush with the headstock and had damaged the finish. This was the second "Used - Like New" Fender American Professional II Stratocaster that I purchased, and both had what I consider to be serious flaws. They should have in no way been listed as "Like New". I returned this one, as well. ... show more

  • Volume Knob Busted... $1500 later
Color: Miami Blue Size: Large
So this thing came out of the box with a busted volume knob. There is sound output, but the knob doesn't lower the volume when you turn it all the way down. After a $1500 purchase this is a pretty big shock. Oh well, into the shop she goes...
