  • Is this the best Fender Jazz bass since the '60s?
I've owned numerous basses over the many years, including Fenders as well as other manufacturers, and I have to say, I think Fender really outdid themselves with this one! It just feels and sounds great! I've owned a couple '90s and a couple 2000s Fender Jazz basses, and even some boutique Jazz basses that were over $2000, and this one just seems like they nailed the design. Everything feels great. It's light, the neck is thin and smooth, the new pickups are well balanced (Jazz basses are known for unbalanced pickup configs), it's easy to setup and maintain, and it just sounds great! I could easily play this thing all night long. I like it so much that I'm thinking about selling most of my other basses because it's that good! Way to go Fender! ... show more
