  • Holy moley I love this guitar
Color: Sunburst Size: 41 inches
This is the most versatile gigging guitar I've ever owned. It looks gorgeous, it plays like butter, and it sounds fantastic in all of its voices. The tele-style neck is so dang comfortable to play. Tips for gigging with the Fender American Acoustasonic Telecaster: 1. Use the strings that came with it from the factory. They are "Genuine Fender 860CL Phosphor Bronze Dura-tone Coated Strings" and the gauge is 11-52. I strung mine with 12-53 Elixirs and broke two strings on my first gig with the new strings. I switched back to the 860CLs and I haven't broken a string for the last 5 gigs. I am not sure why this is the case, but that's what happened to me. 2. If you have two amps - an acoustic amp, and an electric guitar amp, buy an A/B switch and use them both. The under-saddle piezo pickup sounds best with the acoustic voicings running through an acoustic amp like the Fender Acoustic 200. The single-coil pickup sounds best running through an electric guitar amp like a Fender Twin Reverb, or Fender Blues Junior. I have not had the opportunity to run mine through a Helix or a Kemper, but I'll bet it sounds good. I'd love to hear someone talk about that. 3. Be kind to your new Acoustasonic Telecaster. Straplocks are your friend. 4. Get one of those magnetic USB charging cables. It'll save the little USB port that you charge your guitar with from going bad due to multiple plugging-in and plugging-out operations. (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XVRBTXK/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_eNE2CbDBJ8Q1T) 5. The Boss WL-50 wireless guitar system dongle (transmitter) does not plug fully into the 1/4" output jack. The design of the jack on the guitar, and the design of the WL-50 prevent it from seating fully. I had to buy a short 1/4" cable with one 90 degree elbow and fashion a pocket with Velcro on my guitar strap to get mine to work. ... show more

  • Expensive buy and to fix!
Color: Natural Size: 41 inches
I bought this in 2019 just and when it was out of warranty 2021 the board went bad. Authorized service center said they can’t be serviced and I had to replace the whole board and fender does not make the board. It took 4 month to get it fixed and I should have never done it! 2k new and then 750 repairs and now it gone bad again. High pitched like 8k buzz coming from it. This might be OK to have in your living room, but definitely not good for gigging. I play like 60-80 gigs a year I think it’s a really fragile guitar and you’re screwed if it breaks! Loved for option back up guitar sounded great live but way to expensive and fragile. ... show more

  • Excellent, if pricey, guitar
Color: Sunburst Size: 41 inches
I've taken the acoustisonic on 3 gigs and for replacement for my Martin or Gurian, and it excels. It plays like an electric and sounds like multiple acoustics. The tele pick(Electric bridge) can get as noisy as any tele, but sounds good. It hangs comfortably sitting or standing on an older slightly overweight guy like me. Seems weird to charge it via USB, BUT, no batteries to replace is a good thing! It's a keeper ... show more

  • Sweet little guitar.
Color: Natural Size: 41 inches
Love this guitar and most everything about it. Many different tones and sounds and it is super light. The only problem I have is that the high "E" string will pop out of the nut. I ordered the string guide that holds the B & E sting that Telecasters use and it should take care of the problem.

  • Don’t get it
Color: Sunburst Size: 41 inches
The modeling of the different guitars doesn’t sound as good as the actual guitars. If you want a dreadnought guitar, buy a dreadnought. If you want a telecaster, buy a telecaster. Don’t be tempted by the 10 option, 5 position selector. I wish I could return mine and keep things simple.

  • Love this guitar
Color: Natural Size: 41 inches
I've only had this guitar for a little over a week and I can't seem to put it down. Except when I have to go to work, of course. It's a hollowed out telecaster which sounds unexpectedly good. I've always liked thin bodied acoustic guitars but I look at the guitar as Electric-Acoustic instead of an Acoustic-Electric. It's a fun guitar and I've really been enjoying it. ... show more

  • not a buyer
Color: Sunburst Size: 41 inches
I went up to the local music store to try these Acoutasonic's out and did not like the feel or sound after a 15min ride. I'm a wood guy and the finish felt like plastic and the sound was OK but i have acoustics and electrics that produce better sounds. Just to be sure, a couple of days later I went back and worked it for over an hour with different amps and some time on a slide. I have money but the price felt rippish even for the players series from down south. The guitar might work for you, but don't buy until you try. ... show more

  • Easy to play great tone versatility
Color: Natural Size: 41 inches
I loved the versatility of this guitar and the ease of playing. Was disappointed with the finish on the top right below the sound hole. The grain of the wood is raised in one area. Would have expected a better finish detail for $2,000
