This heavy duty azure blue medium size barbed wire fence fixer is a quick and easy way of tightening up sagging barbed wire fence. In just a short time, the slack is pulled up and can be bound so the slack is gone (see photo attached to this review of slack tightening in progress). You will want to note that I have no desire to get scratched by barbed wire so I wore gloves while doing this fence fixing.

Heavy duty and well built fence tool. Will work with nearly any barbed wire fence, or at least any that I've ever seen. Even if this was much more expensive, it would still be worth it. This makes fence mending a quick and easy task. Highly recommended

It took me a little while to figure out how to use this tool, but once I watched a quick video and understood the process, it worked beautifully for tightening barbed wire fences. The difference was obvious right away—the wire pulled tighter and held its shape much better, leaving the fence looking more secure and reliable. I also found myself getting caught on the wire far less than before, since there was less slack flopping around. Once I got the hang of it, the whle job felt safer and easier, and the end result was a sturdier fence with less hassle.

There seems to be a lot of different sellers with this same item. Probably all coming from the same factory. Overall, the build construction is solid metal and should last for a very long time. The chain is on the heavy side and probably burdensome if your going to be carrying this around to fix lots of fencing but it gets the job done. The only improvement I would like to see would be a wider piece of metal on the area where it bite onto the barbwire. some other design have a little bit more thickness in that area. I still prefer the ratcheting style fence tighteners but this will work well for certain scenarios.

If you need to fix your fence and you don't want to spend loads of money or time, this is a great option. Simple to a fault, this fence tool will allow you to pull tight on a section of fence, cut and re-tighten it and have a much tighter fence afterwards. Mind you, this is all human powered. So you will need to be wrapping the new wire and making it stick. I ended up with a fair bit of blood out of my body by the end of my day and so I should say wear gloves. But as you go, it gets easier and by the end of the day I was knocking out repairs in 15 or so minutes.

I have 125 acres of barbed wire and old wire stretchers, that you hook on the end of the pole at the end of the run and tighten as much as you can, but this is brilliant in its simplicity. I've tried doing similar methods to tighten the fence in sagging areas buy just twisting the wire with pliers, but you can only make so much progress that way.. with this tool grabbing the wire and allows me to tighten it anywhere along any wire fence locking in place so I can make a polished job of it. Easily one of the best items I've had the privilege to product test.
