I purchased to replace on a used jetski trailer I purchased that had a jammed winch. Taking out of the box edges all around seemed kinda rigid and just expected the metal edges to be smooth the lock for winch is hard to release and set sometimes you really gotta push it to set it right. I spooled out the strap to install the mount hardware. While reeling in the strap, the spring broke 1/4 of the way in. Then the directional pawl would not release. Had to disassemble and straighten the lever, and then replace the spring.

Bought it for a 14/36 jon boat. The crank won’t tighten down on the strap it gets tight and holds it but feels like it hits a certain tightness and just keeps spinning but won’t tighter the strap anymore
