This ladder has been a life saver and it is sturdy and looks good in my kitchen as it looks modern not like a ladder from a hardware store. It’s worth the price. I use in my kitchen for getting to high places so it won’t be used that often as I do worry about the gold finish peeling or wear and tear so won’t use daily to ensue it keeps it’s glamour! It may seem a little tricky to open but you get use to it after 2nd or 3rd time using it- just watch your fingers! It folds nicely and flat- does not take up a lot of room. This is a good, functional 2-step folding step ladder. I ordered it for use in my kitchen so that I could reach my high upper cabinets and over the cabinet storage without having to continually pull out something bigger and bulkier. It is working out perfectly for that purpose. Unfortunately, I ran into two issues with the product. At first it did not want to lock open, which of course is of major concern. I learned that I needed to open to lock and then put some weight on it initially to wear it in. After carefully putting some weight on the top step it loudly locked into place. After this there was no more noise when locking, but it has taken some time to get it to reliably lock on the first try. As the directions state, please make sure that it is locked properly before every use. The second issue may not be of concern to others. The product states that it is 2.3 inches wide when fully folded. It is wider than that. Mine measures over 2.5 inches. This was an issue for me as I intended to store this between my refrigerator and pantry when not in use. Before ordering I had carefully measured the tight space at least four times. In vain. Luckily, I can gain just enough space by pulling out my fridge and sliding it over just a bit. Project for another day. These issues aside, I still feel that this is a nice step ladder because it is compact, sturdy, wide width (major bonus), has a nicely padded handrail, and the steps are of good anti-slip construction. When I know that it is fully locked, I feel very stable and safe when standing on it. Not a perfect product by any means but knowing what I know now I would still purchase one. I have a smaller step ladder that I keep in our utility closet in the house and while it works great, I've found that over time it's not quite enough for us to reach higher places, which then has be going out to the garage to get a larger ladder. The advantage of this step ladder is that it has 4 steps, so you can really reach things at the top of a bookcase without straining. We used it to hang some long drapes in the living room and it was so much easier using this than the shorter step ladder. This is solidly made and what I liked and was surprised to find is that it folds up into a super thin package. I was worried it would take up too much room, but when folded it's maybe an inch wide...takes up almost no room at all. You'll find it operates a little stiffly at first but as you use it more it will operate more smoothly. I found the first time I opened it, that I didn't have it completely opened and locked in position...when I stepped on the first step, it clicked into fully open, so I use that as a double check to make sure I have it completely open and locked. Can't go wrong. This step ladder gives you extra reach with solid construction and packs up with a small footprint. Very pleased with this product. ... show more

This 3-step latter feels relatively solid and strong to climb on, and I am 185 lbs. I previously had a 2-step ladder, and this 3-step is much more versatile for the extra height reach to cabinet storage and minor house repairs. Previously, I had to pull out the 6-foot ladder from storage, which wasn't too convenient especially since it was easy to accidentally hit/damage the walls while carrying it through the house. Now the slightly negative part: be careful when stepping on the 3rd step if you have nothing to hold onto. I felt a little insecure because the ladder base footprint seems a bit small for the height. Maybe this is the same with other ladder brands and with any ladder, you just have to be careful using them. Overall, this is a pretty good ladder and serves its purpose just fine. ... show more
