Finally, the brace I have been looking for! If you want a brace that truly immobilizes the thumb (CMC joint, in particular), but is comfortable and doesn't actually aggravate the inflammation due to pressure on the tendon from the brace, THIS is your brace. It is very well made. The longer brace provides greater support and stability than most other (shorter) braces. That is great for me because I have both carpal tunnel syndrome and deQuervain's tenosynovitis in the same hand. I sleep in the brace and wear it when I don't actually need manual dexterity for any task. This is a brace for resting the tissue to allow healing. So, of course, the thumb and wrist are immobilized. I also have a weenie little thumb spica splint with plastic stays that provide a little support while I do tasks that require me to use my opposable thumb for tasks that require dexterity. But then I put this excellent, very supportive brace back on for comfort and healing. With the discount at the time, I bought this brace for an amazingly good price for such a nice brace. I did not get any reward for writing this review. But I am a physical therapist who really appreciates the benefits of an effective splint. BTW, remember that, if you need to wear a splint 24/7 and you wear the same one all the time, it is going to get skanky. It is a good idea to have a couple of braces to rotate and give them a chance to air out. It doesn't actually have to be two of the exact same brace, but you do want both braces to be effective.

I've been wearing this for about 6 months now and it helps. I can feel the difference when I dont wear it because I am in more pain the next day, particularly when I'm holding my phone. I like that Ian control the fit around my thumb with the velcro. It supports my wrist and thumb nicely all night. There are 2 metal supports that area comfortable and don't dig in. The velcro is strong and doesn't come apart in the night and allows adjustment. I will prob by one for my left hand as well.

This greatly helped with my wrist pain. It was adjustable and comfortable with good quality material. I took one star off because if I put my thumb through the thumb hole for a long period (overnight) it would hurt a bit in the morning. I just kept it out and that solved that problem for me but wish it did it stretch the thumb quite so far for a woman with small to average size hands. Overall I like it though and use it whenever my wrist starts to act up- makes it feel better after just 1-2 nights of use!

I’ve gone through a number of different braces and casts, but this one has been the most effective and comfortable by far. It provides excellent stability for both my wrist and thumb without feeling bulky or restrictive. The clasps and Velcro are strong, and the overall design is clearly well thought out and built to last. If you need reliable support, this brace is definitely worth it.

This is the best brace that I have found for carpel tunnel. It is soft, but also rigid, and highly supportive. It is easy to sleep in. I haven't washed it yet, but this looks like it could take a pretty solid cycle in a washing machine. I have been using it for a week or so and I can already feel the difference. I have feeling back in most of my fingers and it's no longer painful for me to type.

After breaking my wrist I purchased this brace as suggested by my doctor. It works amazingly well. I learned I can make it tighter by criss-crossing the two straps closest to my wrist. It holds my thumb in place so I can't move it, which is what I need and holds my wrist immoble. It is comfortable and easy to wear and easily wipes clean when needed. My only frustratration is the metal bar sometimes slides out the end and pokes my arm. I put a few sewing stitches in it to hold it secure.
