i love this keyboard set! looks super cute with the rest of my desk, and was very simple to set up. some of the main things to note about this set: - the sleep mode function works great, it'll turn off after a period of absence which is great for saving battery life. - it does come with batteries, one AAA for the keyboard itself and one AA for the mouse; there's a plastic wrap around each battery to remove when you take it out of the box. i personally didn't use the included batteries- i swapped them out for some brand new duracells when i set it up- so i can't exactly say how well the original batteries work. - personally, i don't like loud, clicky, tactile keyboards, i find the noise to be kind of distracting; if you're in the same boat as i am, this set is a great option. it has a bit of a noise to it, sort of like a standard mechanical keyboard- if you hit the spacebar hard its a little louder than the rest of the keys- but its not bothersome in my opinion. the mouse is practically dead silent, not loud or irritating in the slightest. - the keys have a matte texture to them, which, along with the round shape, i find super pleasing! - i've had it for a few days now, and so far i've had no issues with delay, disconnecting, missing keystrokes, or anything of that sort. overall, i'm super happy with the set so far. really the only issue i've come across is a problem i've had on basically any keyboard; my acrylic nails are a little long, which makes typing and pressing keys down all the way a bit of a challenge. if you're having second thoughts, just go for it! its a great keyboard set, especially for the price its at right now (i got it at 29.99, it might change in the future)

This keyboard is adorable and perfect for my use. I would only say that it's a bit smaller than I pictured it, but it's a really cute keyboard and would be perfect for people with smaller hands. It does not have an on/off switch, and neither does the mouse, so I wonder how long the batteries will last. It's a quiet keyboard, and the keys feel good (a nice response - easy to click). I like that it does have the number pad on the right.. The mouse is ergonomic, fits my small hand perfectly, and is very easy to maneuver. I LOVE the pink and white. Super cute. Again, this keyboard would be perfect for your student!

I had no issues with connectivity or functionality, but I personally found it extremely difficult to type on this keyboard. My fingers couldn't move around it the way they can any other type of keyboard. I experienced a huge increase in typos during the time I used this product. Eventually I had to get rid of it.

If I could give less than one star I would. The keys do not work unless you pound on them. I tried two key boards from this brand and both were the same. My biggest regret is I let the return window expire on this one. Cute colors but completely useless.
