  • Does help potted plants in older soil, but can be expensive to use.
Size: 8oz
I have been growing almost all of our veggies and herbs indoors in our basement for over 10 years. Some of these plants, generally grown as annuals outdoors, can continue to grow and produce for over 5 years or more indoors. Even though I provide the appropriate fertilizers for my plants, the health of the soils is essential for these nutrients to be utilized. Since the older plants are in the same pot with the same soil for quite a few years, I decided to try this soil revitalizer on some of my older plants. Humic acid works in a similar way to compost, but compost takes time to break down to provide its benefits and can rob your plants nutrients during decomposition. . In addition, compost can change the PH of your soil. Whereas, humic acid is PH neutral. Humic acid can be thought of as a decomposed compost that will help plants to uptake minerals in the soil. Even if your soil has over-accumulated certain minerals, humic acid will help them grow well regardless. Another advantage of using humic acid rather than compost is that it can be added to water to provide immediate benefits. This can be helpful for established plants, such as mine, when trying to add compost would be almost impossible and benefits would be negligible. Although this soil revitalizer has been beneficial to my older plants, I did notice the ingredients of the product which state 2% humic acid and 98% water. It seems that this product would be much less expensive to use if the ratio of humic acid was increased with less water. If someone wanted to improve the soil on 5 acres of land, according to the label, 43 gallons of this product would be required for one application. This would be a cost, at current pricing, of $1719.57. Granted, most of us don't want to condition 5 acres of soil, but increasing the percentage of humic acid to the percentage of water would greatly decrease the cost of using this product. Even for my application for use on older plants grown indoors, use of this product can be costly when considering the costs of fertilizers that are still required. I hope this review was helpful for you. ... show more

  • Effective
Size: 32oz
We recently added 100 yards of soil to our yard and I applied just this revitalizer. After a couple of weeks we're seeing good results. The grass has grown fast to cover the bare soil and is vibrant, healthy green. We're in Zone 10, in the summer you can literally watch the grass grow.. Just ordered their fruit tree booster fertilizer. ... show more

  • Amazing results!!
Size: 8oz
Our lawn has been an embarrassment for several years and nothing seemed to bring it back. The garden seemed to kill anything that wasn’t poison ivy. I was on a tight budget and had little equipment so I bought a $10 aerator and every morning I went out and dumped 2 capfuls of this stuff with water in a pitcher and spread it on the worst parts of the lawn and in the garden. It wasn’t really a consistent application but if you look at the photos of wear I applied that are now lush and green and compare it to the previously “good parts” I think you will see what a huge success it is. Furthermore I have plants and bulbs in the garden that I forgot about that are coming back after years of not sprouting. Now that I see the results I am investing in a good spreader and going to do everywhere. ... show more

  • To Much
Size: 128oz
I used to much not knowing how much to put in hanging Fuchias and killed all 6. Had to start over. Amount I used turned pots into mud balls. Could use a clear amount for different size pots.

  • No cap
Size: 32oz
Received without a cap on it so once I remove the silver seal I have no way of keeping it from spilling everywhere. Can't give a review on how it works since I just received it today

  • love it
Size: 128oz
Just got our third bottle of this stuff. Discovered it last fall. I appreciate that you cannot over apply it (nothing worse than over applying a fertilizer and burning your grass). We used one bottle last fall, and just finished our second bottle this spring. In the fall, it really helped the lawn bounce back from that rough summer drought quickly. The soil does look healthier with consistent use. This spring, everything is greening up BEAUTIFULLY. We've been applying to our lawn with a hose sprayer every other week since we're in growing season. Our new dog obliterated the grass this winter, so we've been trying our hardest to restore it (tired of giving this guy baths for getting muddy!) and this stuff is like liquid gold. Has not harmed new seed/baby grass. Ground just eats it up and everything is looking good, lush and green. Easy to apply. ... show more

  • Worth the money
Size: 32oz
This is the best plant food / soil enricher I've found. It really makes a difference with all my outdoor flowering plants, trees, succulents, and shrubs. It's definitely worth the cost, and goes a long way. I feed my plants about every couple of months. It's easy to use - just put 2 tablespoons per gallon in a watering can. ... show more
