  • Does help potted plants in older soil, but can be expensive to use. Does help potted plants in older soil, but can be expensive to use.
Size: 8oz
I have been growing almost all of our veggies and herbs indoors in our basement, year around, for over 10 years. Some of these plants, generally grown as annuals outdoors, can continue to grow and produce for over 5 years or more indoors. Even though I provide the appropriate fertilizers for my plants, the health of the soils is essential for these nutrients to be utilized. Since the older plants are in the same pot with the same soil for quite a few years, I decided to try this soil revitalizer on some of my older plants. Humic acid works in a similar way to compost, but compost takes time to break down to provide its benefits and can rob your plants nutrients during decomposition. . In addition, compost can change the PH of your soil. Whereas, humic acid is PH neutral. Humic acid can be thought of as a decomposed compost that will help plants to uptake minerals in the soil. Even if your soil has over-accumulated certain minerals, humic acid will help them grow well regardless. Another advantage of using humic acid rather than compost is that it can be added to water to provide immediate benefits. This can be helpful for established plants, such as mine, when trying to add compost would be almost impossible and benefits would be negligible. Although this soil revitalizer has been beneficial to my older plants, I did notice the ingredients of the product which state 2% humic acid and 98% water. It seems that this product would be much less expensive to use if the ratio of humic acid was increased with less water. If someone wanted to improve the soil on 5 acres of land, according to the label, 43 gallons of this product would be required for one application. This would be a cost, at current pricing, of $1719.57. Granted, most of us don't want to condition 5 acres of soil, but increasing the percentage of humic acid to the percentage of water would greatly decrease the cost of using this product. As it is, the recommend dose for watering is 2 ounces per gallon of water. So, the 8 ounce bottle would be good for 4 gallons of water. Since some of my larger pots require 4 gallons of water for every watering, this product is very expensive for me to use. Even for my application for use on older plants grown indoors, use of this product can be costly when considering the costs of fertilizers that are still required. I hope this review was helpful for you. ... show more

  • Lives up to its claims
Size: 8oz
Great product! Unbelievable results so far. I have a container garden out back and I watered all my vegetables with this soil revitalizer. I cannot believe that almost instantaneous growth and buds that have shown up on my pepper plants and my tomatoes and my zucchinis. I will buy again for sure. It does smell but if it works I can handle it. ... show more

  • Good products ...
Size: 32oz
* update to add a star for the absolutely phenomenal customer service. As I mentioned to the seller our dirt is really not all that great so that may be part of the cause for this just not working as well as I would have liked it to, and perhaps not all the product faults. But I didn't even have to reach out to them when they saw my three star rating they immediately reached out to me to communicate about it. Would definitely recommend this product based on just that alone as it is such a rare thing, good customer service anymore.* ... And normally I like to take pictures of what I buy but I feel there's no need in this case as it looks exactly as it did in the product page. Ease of use was as expected. I did wear gloves per the instructions and was careful not to get any on me I do not care to find out what would happen. I find that it does add a good supplement to my dirt when using other products and have not used it alone but I will go out on a limb and say that I feel like it has made my dirt healthier. My little plants do seem to be a bit healthier after using it seeming more green and productive. I do live in Florida so I can't comment too much on the retention of moisture, as even after 3 days of rain here a day of sun will begin to dry things out again! However I only use a little at a time since I'm using it for certain raised beds for vegetables so for my purposes I do feel like I got a good value for my money with this product. I would definitely give it a five stars and a recommendation. ... show more

  • This one is not better than small bottle. Buying revive one.
Size: 32oz
The small volume was working better. This one seems more like knock off or lower quality product than that small bottle. Also why on this earth you design seal cap such a bad ways. Why can’t be a smart narrow easy to pour a few drop by drop type or more controllable no spill container. It’s terrible to remove the seal and then when pouring it mostly spill or drop too much or spill specially if I am using a bottle water to add this. Or give cap with a dropper so one can measure and drop without spill. Since this big container is not that good quality so in future going to buy revive brand one only. ... show more

  • This Soil Revitalizer appears to have improved my soil for new plantings This Soil Revitalizer appears to have improved my soil for new plantings
Size: 32oz
I pulled out some bushes that were planted about 20 years ago in order to plant new bushes. The dirt was in clumps and appeared lifeless and I wanted the new bushes to thrive so I ordered this Soil Revitalizer. I treated the soil with a 2 gallon mixture and retreated the area again a week later. One week after the second treatment I dug up the soil and the texture was so easy to dig and appeared fine instead of lumpy. I mixed the soil with a commercially available bag of additional soil and proceeded to plant the bushes. I haven't had the bushes in the ground long enough to evaluate how they are growing but, so far, they look great and I am optimistic all will turn out well. I'm glad I tried this Soil Revitalizer and would recommend it to others. ... show more
