  • A nice, big chair for a 6'2" IT Professional, but take care to assemble it correctly
This is a big chair and it looks so cool that it should come with rocket boosters. But it will be an even bigger chair if you assemble it wrong. There are two things you should know before assembling it. 1) It's better to order the clear 'blade' style wheels (like on Rollerblades) as this is a nice upgrade if you have a hard floor. 2) The assembly manual isn't very clear on which way you should have the thick metal piece facing that joins the back to the seat. You have to look very closely, and the manual doesn't tell you how to do it, but the manual shows that the upper part of this piece should point forwards, towards the front of the seat. It's actually harder to install this way, so the majority of photos you will see of this seat have the part installed wrong, resulting in a seat depth that is too much, requiring you to scoot back into the seat after sitting down. The only way I found to install it correctly is to attach the piece to the base portion first and then use a good deal of muscle (or the seat back as a lever) to unlock, tilt the hinge back about 35 degrees and lock it at that angle before bolting on the seat back. As for the rest of this review - The head pillow and massaging back pillow are nice additions, but frankly they make me feel nauseous. And YES you can lean gently all the way back in this chair without it falling down. At least I did. As for seat width, it's perfect for my overall size (240 lbs) unless all of your fat is in your rear, but even then it might be ok! It's a BIG chair! ... show more

  • The most comfortable rolling death trap you'll ever own...
Color: Grey
I ordered this chair because I'm 6'4 and needed something to fit my dad bod, tall frame. First, the assembly instructions and process, particularly surrounding attaching the back to the base properly need some definite help. The instructions make IKEA assembly guides look like overly-detailed archives of truth! The chair is incredibly comfortable and fits my big and tall frame really well. I work from home so I spend hours in this chair and a month into ownership I can say I love the way it feels. I should have read the description better however, the chair only reclines to fully lay down like a bed, for which it has a flip out footrest (I'll get back to that). While this feels comfortable, honestly I have no need to lay down in this chair. I wish that it had a spring-loaded tilt feature instead. My fault for not reading more carefully. Now, back to that foot rest. While it tucks nicely away under the chair, it has a bad habit of sliding out unnoticed and I end up catching my leg on it which doesn't tickle in the least. Finally, the real issue with this chair...it doesn't roll well AT ALL. On a solid floor, the base spins as you push it in a straight line, on cut pile, low profile carpet, it doesn't roll at all, so I constantly find myself fighting to move it around at my desk to get comfortable or get in and out of my desk. I've had a couple of close calls to tipping over forward. The chair doesn't feel like it's center of gravity is correct, with more weight forward of center, which when combined with the difficulty rolling, makes for a death trap! The issues aside, it's a comfortable chair, feels incredibly solid and seems durable. ... show more

  • It works for what it is designed for
Color: Black
I will update this review over time. Assembly was easy up until the connectors part. The connectors dont sit ontop of the piece firmly to easily attach the arms... Besides that easy peasy. The chair sits comfortably, and the design is nice on the body. The head pillow protrudes a bit and the stitching on it is different than the chair... Kinda offsetting (Pink words) on a black and red chair. The massage function, is just a small pillow with a USB connector. It is pretty powerful and will vibrate the whole chair. It works 👌. My biggest issues with this chair was the horrible stitch work and small flaws throughout the chair, it ruined the "I got a 250$ chair" feel really quick. List of flaws: Uneven stitching. (Very noticeable throughout the chair [black chair w/ red stitching]) String left at end of stitch freely hanging. Pleather had been sewn on improperly on a back piece causing it to fold on itself and make the whole back design look flawed. There was a scratch on the plastic covers for the armrests, unsure if that was accidentally causes by me or not. Overall, it is a good comfortable chair, just needs some better attention to detail on the work. ... show more

  • Great Chair but......
Color: Grey
This chair is perfect for a streamer/gamer like me who is at his PC a lot its comfortable (i hope this lasts) the chair is great for taller people its adjusts up so far that my feet almost come off ground and I'm 5'8" lol ( i like this feature) it reclines and the footrest is perfect for naps. The only complaint I would have is the seat could have been wider its a bit snug for me but it will do.... if you have a wide backside this may not be the chair for you... The assembly directions are clear however you will get confused on which direction to attach the metal plate to seat i had to try it both ways until i figured it out and the book is not clear on which direction to put it. Time will tell if this chair lasts but so far i like it hopefully the arms dont come loose like my last chair. ... show more

  • Comfortable for a large man
Color: Grey
Comfortable thick padding. Seems very sturdy this coming from a man whos broken a chair or two in his life. I hate lumbar support pads but this comes with optional, so I do not have to use it. I am using it for now to see how comfortable it can be, no complaints so far. As stated I am a large 350 and have back problems and problems finding a comfortable chair. I will be pushing this chair to its limits but so far I am very optimistic. Will update review in the future if necessary. Only confusing part of the instructions is whether the back support curves in or out. Doesn't say on the instructions so I used some common sense and curved it out. Seemed to work. ... show more
