This plate set feels classy and exceptional in quality. Perfect for a nice dinner and the little black splatters are not uniform which adds a nice touch of individuality to each plate. The only downside is that using knives and forks harshly on these plates can easily leave little gray streak marks so eat with care when serving on stoneware. ... show more

This set of six large plates are nice for everyday use. The charcoal color does have a slight gray and even blue color in there. I like the dots on the plates, they are subtle and it makes the plates slightly more interesting. The plates feel solid and not fragile. For stacking in a cabinet they take up less room than a lot of other plates. We have had steak and used steak knives on the plates which caused no scratching on the surface. They also come out great from the dishwasher. My family likes these plates and have been choosing them over our porcelain ones. ... show more

This review is for: famiware Dinner Plates Set of 6, 10.25 inch Large Plate Set, Kitchen Porcelain Serving Dishes with Spots, Scratch Resistant, Microwave, and Dishwasher Safe, Light Gray I got these plates as I like the design of them... being flat with a small edge on the side. I also got some of the matching smaller plates. They are pretty sturdy. The finish is nice. They stack, but not very well. My only other contention is the price, which seems pretty high for a set of 6 of these plates. Hope this was helpful. ... show more

I like the size and how these are easy to eat from (no odd angles or creases), but don't expect these to be top-quality plates. You can see in the pic I uploaded where the glaze that was applied bubbled up, producing bumps; there were also a few places where the glaze had formed drips. I also didn't care for the black spots that were apparent in the advert for these. I knew they would be there, but they were more pronounced than I expected and look like dirt on the plates. Not bad, but not worthy of five stars. ... show more

My wife loves these, so that's all that matters. I'm actually not a huge fan of all the little dots, so I'm dropping a star for appearance. But they have a nice feel to them, and I like that they are dishwasher and microwave friendly.

This is a lovely set of dishes. I love the color of them and the feel. They aren't super heavy but they have a nice weight to them. The lip around the edge is nice too when you are having dishes with sauces. The plates are very easy to clean and so far food hasn't gotten badly stuck to them. They easily fit in our drying rack and because they are flat with just the lip, most of the water runs off of them and doesn't get stuck here or there. Overall a great set of dishes. ... show more

We just wanted something simple to use day to day. These plates are low maintenance and do well in the dishwasher. We're somewhat conflicted on the black speckles —some days, we think it's cute and boho, but other days, it looks like specks of dirt to us. However, the plates really do match with every meal we cook and the lip is convenient for preventing liquids from spilling. For the price, everything about these plates is really fair. ... show more
