This was a great buy because I had to repair some skylights on my barn so I ordered this to be able to tie off with a harness and work on the roof. I ordered the $150 ft length so that I could throw it over the roof and tie off on the other side to a tree or something worth anchoring to. Without this I would not have been able to walk on the roof safely because it's such a steep incline and it's a metal roof as well. I highly recommend this high quality safety rope.

The rope is high quality and much thicker than I imagined for 1/2". The rope grab is perfect, allowing safe and easy movement without having to adjust. Used to access siding on a high pitched roof.

The SRL mechanism is too big for the rope. It looks okay to start with you. Go up the roof and as long as there's tension on it, it's okay. As soon as that tension comes off, it starts going back down the rope with you attached to it.

I needed a new 50ft rope and grab lanyard for getting up on the roof for antenna and solar work. My old one was starting to get a bit weathered and frayed. This one is nice quality, not too heavy, and the rope grab slides very smoothly on its own after the first couple uses. Hopefully I'll never have to use the deceleration strap, but it looks like it's well made and functional. The carabiners have the double action gate like they should per OSHA, but they're very easy to clip and unclip when needed. Great fall pro equipment at a great price!

Remember that this rope and the associated hardware have no certified testing or certifications. While it's a good quality product, I would not use it as the only means to suspend body weight. The rope is well spun, and the rope terminations are properly sealed. The hardware appears hardened and weatherized, and the length is true to the listing (yes, I measured it). I use the rope as part of my Off-Road Jeep Wrangler recovery kit, while it's not strong enough for pulling a vehicle the rope and hardware strength make it ideal as a secondary support rope. The value vs cost is excellent; pricing for a similar length at a similar quality is almost double in the big box sporting goods store. I recommend this rope for off-road, marine, or camping use. I would avoid using it as a suspension rope due to a lack of certifications, but for all other uses except vehicle towing, it seems strong enough to get the job done. The value is excellent for the price, and am considering buying another of the same product for my boat..
